Mmm just re read your reply and reckon it`s for one sock...hope I`m right. Keeping it on file to refer to- thanks again. Many many thanks.:A
When I do magic loop two-at-a-time I (and most others I think) do the heels individually, so basically the stitches from the other sock can just be shoved wherever on the loop you find easiest based on where they are already. You might well want to add markers to define the top/sole of the sock as that makes it easier when starting back.

PICT0098-1.jpgPICT0096.jpgObviously I'm supposed to be returning the kitchen to a usable state post decorating but this was way more fun.

That is such a fun make. Well done.

Great hat - thought of doing that for OH ;)

Second poncho to be sent to Australia - not too sure about the yarn, but it looks better in real life than in photos

Such beautiful projects being posted recently and I've felt bad that I've had nothing to share - but I have now finished the hooded sweater I've been making for number 3 grandson.

It's ages since I posted photos so I might have the wrong code so bear with me if I need to edit!!!!!!!!

It's a Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino pattern sized up and knitted in DK. It's intentionally too big at the moment but he'll grow in to it quite quickly.

(Oh fantastic, I the photos have worked in the preview!!!!!! Just have to remember for next time!!!)
  • This is probably a really silly question, but here goes:

I'm following a Sirdar pattern for a waistcoat, and so far so good. But I've just got to "working in patt as set cont until back measures 24cm"

That all seems very logical BUT the thing is "worked sideways from right to left" which and is shaped with one end (the bottom) being narrower than the top. So the question is - which bit am I measuring the 24cm in? The pattern doesn't say at all and I'm horribly confused!

    Thanks for any advice.
  • Sorry misssleepyhead I can't help. There will be help along soon I'm sure :)

what a gorgeous jumper and a very cute GS :D:D

Right I'm off to take a photo of my knitted teddy that I've been threatening to post a pic of for a while. Just getting my camera.

Here he is! I made a mistake on his legs. So one leg has garter stitch the opposite way. I could have unpicked it but to be honest I thought that's just the way he's meant to be :)
He does have a scarf and hat which I'm knitting. The pattern showed him brown but I didn't have enough brown wool so knitted him in cream. Really pleased with him :)

Got my Simply Knitting mag yesterday and there is a little baby pattern book free with it in which is the sweetest little cuddly bunny - so If like me you are bewitched by pennib's little cutie you could do worse than have a look.
Oh dear, here we go again.
  • I haven't added anything here for ages so here's my latest:

I made it up as I went along to use up leftover yarn and the purse clasp that was a free gift from Simply Knitting a year ago!

Really pretty. I am still at my cardi, back and one side done now :).
Was a bit naughty today though, went to the charity shop (or Red Cross has just re-opened) and donated 3 bags of toys DS was finished with/clothes/books, but managed to come out with some Jaeger 100% wool Aran yarn.....was 50p a ball but supposed to be on a yarn diet! Got navy and some lovely mulberry-ish pinky shade.
