Wow Apollonia, that's fantastic!! I have some red Starlites left over too! You have given me inspiration to try and make something with mine, other than another scarf, thankyou!!

Well done on picking up some wool cheaply Orkney, better to get it reduced than at full price, so perfectly allowable in my view! :rotfl:

Lovely makes everyone...I love the fish moo2moo!!!

Need to take piccies of my socks I finished last week...I have worn them loads, they are so warm and comfy...need to make another pair then!! :D

Right off to bed...night, night x

LOL, I have another bag of books to donate, but thankfully this time it is too much for me to lift so DH will have to carry it, and I am sure he will be able to ignore the wool when he takes it in for me (if there is any left.....there was some great bright shades of 100% cotton but tbh I don't really use it other than to make dishcloths!).

Great bargain Orkney - never see anything like that in my CS!

I've started a Guernsey jumper for my son in law. First adult garment I've ever made, so wish me luck!

Good luck cuddles, it can be a long trk, but very rewarding in the end. :)

I have to finish a jumper for DH...haven't done any work on it for over a year! Hope the sleeves aren't marked where I stopped, I may have to undo a few rows just to even things out. It's his birthday next month, so I will try to get it done for then....I only started it 2 years ago!! :rotfl:

It is hit or miss with it up here, some times you see cones of old smelly acrylic and they are asking a few £'s, then other times you see lovely fresh machine washable 100% wool for 50p a ball! I also once got a ball of yarn from the Red Cross and it was around 50p-£1, didn't like it much colourwise, but it felt nice, had no idea what I would do with it. Fast forward a few months when I had started sock knitting, to find it in my stash, and realise it is sock yarn! Bargain there....actually using it to make gloves for next winter as it is a glove colour imho....green, brown, blue shades.

Sorted out some wool that was found in the loft and am wondering what to do with it. Most of it there isn't enough to make anything large with it but thought it might be nice to try to make something with it. My MIL knits and sells things for Air Ambulance so thought about making some stuff for her to sell. Most of it is dk and I think one is a chunky type wool but none of it has any bands so it's kind of guesswork.

Any ideas what I could make? Trying to rack my brains but nothing is springing to mind.

Might be worth doing a pattern search on ravelry ?

Hi I love coming on here looking at all the lovely makes.

I wondered if anyone could help me, I am going to buy Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino 3 book. I want to purchase the wool with the book to save on delivery costs. If anyone has this book could you possibly tell me how many balls of wool is needed for the little girls dress. I want to knit for a 1yr old.

    THANKS

I have been lurking around this thread ever since I found it and love the stuff in the photos. You are so talented (and busy!).
I have recently restarted knitting and my latest project uses sock yarn. I think that the smaller needles may have something to do with the problem I want to ask about............I have started getting sciatic type pains down my right arm and in my shoulder/neck. Bad enough to wake me up at night. Anyone any ideas/advice? Maybe it's not related to the knitting at all, but the timing made me think it was.
I would be so grateful if anyone can spare the time to help.
