    Congratulations Pablosmummy!! :T:beer:
A good idea to look on Ravelry, nice patterns there. Try and find patterns using 3 or 4ply yarns as they are less bulky and will not be too much for your precious little boy.

Thanks Keiss - I'll try that in future.

Funny you should mention hexipuffs as I was looking at that just the other day.
Would love to give it a go but not sure about the technique and its a paid pattern.
What is involved and is it difficult?
It's a bit tricky to get started...never used her technique for casting on before, but fine once you get used to it. I won't say any more as I did pay for the pattern (and a few more of her amazing creations!) It is fun to do, and I have over twenty made so far...I am even tempted to buy some wool just to make the hexipuffs!!! :rotfl: Just seen Kemps and Blacksheep have more wool...must resist, must resist!

I at last got my second sock cast on...really tricky this invisible/provisional casting on!! Even after casting on, I got into s right pickle on the first row!! Like the idea of using a circular needle istead of a remant yarn...will do that next time!

Right, off out to the garden again...garlic went in this morning and looking good...more weeding, or bulb and tuber planting to do this afternoon! :D

    Enjoy your Sunday everyone x

Bought some fluffy wool the other day and knitted up this bunny rabbit.
He has a cable jumper and knitted trews. He has a little secret underneath his jumper the photo is elsewhere;)

What is Debbies book called Florenceem? This is a pattern I bought online but I have altered it and made my own clothes up.

Pennib, I just love your little bunny!

Cuddles, I'm not sure if I should post this here, but there is a variation on the hexipuff pattern that looks just the same. As it's in the public domain I don't think I'm breaking any rules by posting the link, so here it is. It seems to have caused a bit of a furore amongst hexipuffers, but once it's out there it's out there! Love the scarf btw.
Oh dear, here we go again.
  • Newbie to both knitting and MSE!

Hope you are well. I am loving the socks, and am completely inspired by you all to make some. I'll be going through Silver's sock knitting class soon enough (have already had a wee looksie and almost cried, but now I've sort of mastered the art of knitting on more than 2 needles, I'm hoping it won't be as scary).

I too am a hexipuff addict. Have made around 60 puffs so far so I've a little while to go yet.

And also just finished a Russian doll pillow I made following a pattern from one of the knitting magazines. I've started a new one as she's so cute.

Pennib I just love your little bunny . Would it be possible for you to tell me where you bought the pattern online. Many thanks,

See Silver's sock class, it's brilliant!

Getting to the website seems to be a bit difficult today, but could be the t'internet as a whole rather than the site itself...it's windy out!

I've been having problems with her site for a while... Thankfully the main pages are still up but I'd like to have the "printable" pages so I can put them on my eBook reader.

As for the cast on being too loose - I have exactly the same problem with the DPN cuff-down method. I'm currently doing a bog standard ribbed toe-up sock on two circs at the moment. I've decreased by a couple of sts at the start of the ankle and I'm also going to decrease for the last couple of rounds and hopefully that will mean the top is tight enough this time.
