    Hi everyone
Sorry for intruding but I fancy starting knitting again. Its been yearssssss. But have been motivated by seeing this yarn on Create and Craft
    http://www.createandcraft.tv/Spider_Scarf_Knitting_Kit_-_Includes_100g_yarn_and_pattern_204780.aspx?p=1

I have never saw yarn like this before but the addition of lurex just makes the scarf look very expensive and luxurious. Yes.....I must confess......I am a bling girl !
I think the yarn is expensive for what they are selling.
Can anyone recognise it? Beautiful colours too.
Surely it can be purchased cheaper elsewhere?
    Kind regards
    Clare

Thank you so much, I will pop back to the shop and note down the gauge. This link is the sprinkles wool I think it's King Cole, it's pretty but there's not much scope unless you know if you're having a boy or a girl.

ETA just noticed the gauge on the link- don't need to go back to the shop!!

Thanks again, really appreciate your time :)

    Many congratulations!!!

I've knitted in snowflake and the result is lovely - soft and cuddly and looks like towelling - but it's a so-and-so to knit with. Impossible to count how many rows you've knitted. You need to be really organised and count and note down every row. Also if you make a mistake I think it would be very difficult to see where you've gone wrong and put it right. Sorry - that's not very positive is it? - but if you persevere the result is worth it.

There are several yarns that knit up like this - have you looked on ebay?

I have knitted with a few of this type of yarns. Have a look here for a few different kinds...good prices too, and great service! They have a few video tutorials to help you get going as well.

I usually can knit a scarf up in 2 to 3 hours...useful as I sold a lot of these before Christmas!! Now building up my stocks again, so make one an evening while watching TV. So far, Katia Ondas is my biggest seller...lovely colours, and soo soft!! Good luck Clare and have fun!!

In between knitting more scarves, I am knitting a pair of socks for me...a new pattern, so a bit scary, but getting there! Will post piccies once I am done...and have found my camera, it's been AWOL for ages!!!

Thanks Cuddles for your helpful post and shall look into it tomoz. I can see that lots of people needed some help this week and know how frustrating it is to come unstuck with a project!

I`m in a patchwork house at the moment- my cousin works in a patchwork shop and edits her own blog- quilterie. She kindly put my socks on there which is more than I can do! Anyway thanks ++ for your help.

Can anyone help me to modify this cable pattern to knit in the round please?

Also I need it slightly smaller.Found some mods which say

replace the 3 stitch garter stitch panels at the sides with a single knit stitch slipped every other row

    This is the stitch pattern

    Row 1: k2, p3, (k12, p3)repto last two stitches, k2
    Row 2: k5, (p12, k3)repto last two stitches, k2
    Row 3: k2, p3, (k4,C8F,p3) repto last two stitches, k2
    Row 4: k5, (p12, k3)repto last two stitches, k2
    Row 5: k2, p3, (k12, p3)repto last two stitches, k2
    Row 6: k5, (p12, k3)repto last two stitches, k2
    Row 7: k2, p3, (C8B, k4, p3) repto last two stitches, k2
    Row 8: k5, (p12, k3)repto last two stitches, k2

Have you made scarves with the Rico Can Can yarn? I got two scarves out of a ball - so cost £3.50 each to make - I sold them at £8. I made one an evening.
