Anyone used or felt Wendy Sorrento?

Sorry, I meant felt, as in touched ! :rotfl:

Can I ask where you bought it NJ? I can't find it locally at all.

Sorry to hear you've been ill - hope you are much improved :A

Still coughing a bit, but much better. It has gone through the whole family.

is where I got my sorrento. It's a shop known as Alternative Polperro in Cornwall. We stay in a cottage opposite sometimes. I have also shopped by post. Lovely range of wools.

    Hi all:j

Thanks for the Knitpro feedback everyone - tried to multiquote you all but no success:mad: Yes it's the deluxe pretty wooden set in a case I was looking at originally (the Rose set?) - the money was supposed to be spent on something I normally wouldn't buy, so I thought that would be something nice that I'd look at & appreciate everytime I used it IYKWIM.

Oooh I hadn't seen that set before, was just looking at the ones in a clear case, it's lovely. And I suppose when you think about it's not that expensive, my mums got needles that she's had since she was young, so 50 years, even if they just last that long it works out pretty well.

Love the socks, Orkneystar, and the blanket, Pennib - oh, and is the middle square in the bottom row applique or is the design knitted?

Sorry - in my enthusiasm about the knitpros I forgot to say 'hello'. A while ago I used to follow this thread and post a bit but life became so hectic I'm afraid it was something I let slip.

At the moment I am knitting a hooded striped sweater for number 3 grandson who was one year old yesterday. I'll try to post a piccie when it's finished.

It's an applique that I added as my signature 'quirky' house:)

...Classic Guernsey style which he wants in navy. Problem is that he can't wear wool and I think that 100% cotton wouldn't hold its shape well. I have looked for a cotton / acrylic blend but all I can find in navy is Wendy Sirroco...

I am bit of a cotton addict, particulary 4ply cotton (looks embarrasingly at large stash on the shelves). To be honest I have never had a problem with cotton garments not keeping their shape as long as your tension when knitting is firm (not tight). The only thing to watch out for is it is harder to join in new balls as cotton tends to be more slippy than wool.
