Those are lovely Mikazaru...wouldn't have the patience for toys myself, have only knitted about half a dozen in my sixty years of knitting.

Really must try the magic loop thingy, would be ashamed of myself if I couldn't master it.

More smashing socks Orkney...would love to have some, but just knit them for OH and one grandson, don't like the feel of knitted socks myself, however fine....odd ould woman am I not?

I have a collection of knitting patterns and needles (mostly pre-metric) which I am not likely to use again. Does anyone know if they would be of use a Knitting Circle or charity shop?

If so, how do I find any takers (apart from the shops of course)
loving hands is a charity knitting group, run by a lovely lady called lou, you could google and post to her, she in return would send them out to charity knitters who needed them sizes

Hi all, lovely makes as always! I have a quick question if you don't mind? I am currently using Sirdar Calico wool to make another blanket but i now want to do a border but unfortunately they don't have the colour i want in the Calico range. So can i mix wool? Blanket will be 60%cotton/40%acrylic and the wool i want to use for the border is 100% cotton. Will this wash ok together? Thanks :)

Ami82, have you got enough of each to make a small square with both wools knitted on it so you can wash it and see if one shrinks more than the other. im sure someone else will be able to advise you or suggest somethng else soon

Those are gorgeous and ideal as we've just had two babies born into the family. Could someone translate the wool needed into something I'd understand?
