http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/oh-baby-baby-booties is the original one. Tells you to cut the yarn too many times. Check out some of the project pictures, the pattern really seems to suit variegated yarn.
It is possible to have only two ends if you use the modifications -

I knitted mine flat. I also did garter stitch all over.

I tend to throw the ball across the floor then reel it back in so I have a few metres then repeat but it drives me crazy, especially when crocheting as you use wool really fast. Any good types or gadgets? I did see something called swift like upside down umbrella but seems it more for winding wool than for feeding through..if you get what I am talking about.
The ball of wool then sits beside you in a very well behaved manner while you knit or crochet as fast as you like!0 -

Very nice little boots and basket Cuddles.
I also seem to be captivated by tiny things at the moment.
I was trying to break away, but instead, have actually paid money for a pattern from Rav for some more boots. Made the mistake of introducing DIL to Rav! She doesn't knit but does other craft very beautifully. Has friends who also craft and are trying to show items at friends houses on a commission basis. No crocheters or knitters though, so she is falling in love with Rav baby patterns and saying she will take them along, if someone would knit them. Guess that means me then. Mmmm....
Meanwhile, am using up two balls of bamboo into a scarfy thing. Mistakenly bought it for socks when I first started. It's horrible to knit with, slides all over the place. Nearly finished.0 -

Love the Ocean Top Cuddles.
Also still doing boots! Bought some chunky Sirdar Snowflake to try and duplicate the fur seams on the boots.
Also have these in the pipeline -http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/baby-booties-35 Free

This is the Chinook Scarf http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/chinook-scarf
Really nice pattern to use up 100gms or so. Used bamboo/acrylic which I had mistakenly bought for socks when I first started doing them. Bad idea. No give whatsoever, slides all over the place. Shall use the pattern again though. I'm thinking Xmas pressies.
Happy making. NJ xx0 -
A friend bought 2 balls of Rico and asked me to knit her a pair of socks,
as she has small feet, I got 2 pairs of socks and a scarf/shawl out of the yarn0 -
Anakat - Lucky friend! Beautiful set. Love the colours (and the matching butterfly).0
