    SORRY TO SHOUT!

But, anyone who uses Ravelry needs to change their passwords. There is a notice on the opening page. Suppose the only thing to worry about is if you use the same password for anything else.

First Regia ocean blues sock now finished, just have to make a brother for him, a sister for my red waffles (one sock done), finish sibling one of rivercats and make a brother as well! Phew, and also have a scarf on the go two, and two hibernating jumpers for DS! Also want to make some cotton wash cloths/sponge type things (this pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bath-puff-3).

i love the socks, especially the red ones. wish i could make them. i had downloaded a whole tutorial on knitting socks with 4 dpns but cant get hang of it. even bought a sock kit in regia i think its called its a self striping thing. was pretty expensive but not even looked at that yet. found an ebayer whose wool is pretty reasonable referred to by a fellow mse lady and nearly have all the wool i need for the next 6 projects. i really wish though that i could use some of my stash up but just cant put a pattern to a wool. well hey ho am off for weekend on the seaside hope weather holds out and have trip to france on saturday. packed up 2 easy things am knitting to do while chilling out on beach lol i should be so lucky. have a great knitting weekend everyone :j

Some people knit socks on circular needles- you might want to try that ?
I love my dpn's, by no means an expert though!

    Morning

Agree with the Sock Machine comment Orkney - astounding!

Feeling very battered and bruised this morning after not much sleep. Woke every time I turned onto the swollen side. I was in the chair over half an hour and in the end they had to do a lot of drilling. One drilled while two supported my jaw. I now have stitches in my gum, and feel like I've been punched.

Have taken painkillers and have a day of sitting in the garden with a book and my knitting planned.

    Finished my Owl Hat.
First time I've done cables on circular needles.

  • Feel awful :( Had a virus for best part of two weeks and now a migraine to go with it. Sorry to moan but been looking forward to hols and now spent a week unable to do anything *whinge, whinge, whine, feels sorry for self* :o
Anyhoo think I'll try and get sorted on the edging of my BIG blankie now that I can at least see straight and the weather is glorious :)

Mind you, s%d's Law, I'll miss it when it's finished :rotfl::rotfl: Think I may do another in a different pattern. The yarn was pretty darn reasonable - Mason's online 100% Acrylic, it's got me over my yarn snobbery :D:D

Hmmmmm, ok, the A9 is winding roads (look at this for example of a really bad bit- http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSZ5Mc-CzIrLFqPBjnv1E5ArYTydMt1VAOrImvekANkMCfXXK2QXQ&t=1) for a lot of it, single carriageway A roads (with some dual parts) and no motorway until we reach Perth (3/4 of the way there!)!! Still might give it a go!
Ooh Berriedale Braes..only 7 weeks before we're driving up them again!! :j
We're coming over to Orkney for 5 days too...can't wait...haven't been there for three years or so, far too long!!! :D That's the problem when you are living south of Birmingham...it's a long trip to Caithness!! Thankfully we can stop with MIL in Fife on the way up and then back down...but still over 600 miles each way  Folks just don't realize how log this country is!!:o

Been doing a bit of scarf knitting recently...also been cross-stitching, sewing and patch-working..quite the busy bee!!

Love the socks Orkney...found a few balls of Regia in a drawer, so might get going with a pair of socks soon.

Up far too late again, need to catch up on sleep...night, night x
