Afternoon all,
Orkney you are a sock machine. I am still on son's sixth pair! (Have finished other things inbetween). These socks have become my car journey knitting. They have been to London & Cornwall already. Finishing off to do on second bright cardie for GD1. I am barring myself from casting on until I finish WIP's. And then there's the garden...if I don't give it some attention soon I shall need a machete.

Oooh, I like them!
I've made lots of those "Ballband" face/wash cloths but I like the idea of a curly oneTo be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.

And knitting in the car doesn't make you feel travel sick ?
I am better a driver than a passenger but on the way to Glasgow in the summer it would be great if I could knit when DH driving.

I can knit without wooziness once we get on the motorway. When going round the roundabouts out of town or country lanes I get a bit odd, prefer to watch the road. Luckily for me OH is a terrible passenger and prefers to drive.0

Hmmmmm, ok, the A9 is winding roads (look at this for example of a really bad bit- http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSZ5Mc-CzIrLFqPBjnv1E5ArYTydMt1VAOrImvekANkMCfXXK2QXQ&t=1) for a lot of it, single carriageway A roads (with some dual parts) and no motorway until we reach Perth (3/4 of the way there!)!! Still might give it a go!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Nah! Couldn't knit on that one. Beautiful place. Son and dil did honeymoon in Scotland at the end of April. Loved it. Sent me a handpainted postcard from their favourite beach - Traigh Bhan/North Isle of Iona.0

Perhaps I should try a curvy pattern lol
Cast on a beret this afternoon, but it doesn't count as knitting WIP 'cos it is crochet!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I just havent got round to trying it yet.0 -
was it easy, i have a kindle and was thinking that it could be a sensible solution to losing patterns, especially as you can mark where you are so easier not to lose place on pattern as well.
I just havent got round to trying it yet.
I'm not sure how to do it on a Kindle. Mine takes PDF files so it was just a case of dragging and dropping. I have googled it for you and it looks much the same, you can either do it using the usb cable of email it to yourself.0
