Guage is 9 st and 12 rows to 10cm so you need to compare that to the wyarn in the pattern.

Kemps are selling Big Softie in cream for 99p per 50g at the moment :money:

I can send you a small sample if you want to feel it. Just PM me your name and address.

Warning! Very bright FO alert! King Cole Splash wool/King Cole pattern. GD 1 wanted the same colour as on the pattern. Made the button loops by blanket stitch around wool loop. That takes a while doesn't it. Got neater by the third one.

And yes, dinner is being made. Shame about the housework though. Another day tomorrow.

    That is really pretty.
Making that must be much more fun than doing housework.
I have some yarn that stripes like that, several balls but all in different colour combos, (and I think perhaps two in one colour) so need to keep it for very small baby clothes, or perhaps hats or leg-warmers or something ?

Thank you. Hope she hasn't gone off the colour. She is exploring the power that choice gives her at the moment. She wanted a sad meal in Mc Donalds the other day! (Occasional treat (?!) only).

Leftover stripey bits are a bit of a problem aren't they. Doll/teddy clothes would be good. I am saving all my leftover Regia from socks for a really silly baktus.

Yep, lol, leftover stripey bits are a bit of a strange one (somehow reminds me of sun-tans and having strap marks called stripey bits lol! :p:p). I have lots of tiny balls of Regia, Opal etc and did wonder about making crazy coloured socks, afterall they are all similar thickness so should be ok....the other option is teddy clothes me thinks (DS has no dolls but already a teddy has Opal socks lol).
DS gets a happy meal occasionally, if we are on the mainland, although last time was fun as his too loose trousers kept falling round his ankles as he was carefully carrying his leftover milkshake and toy and no spare hands.....he giggles every time we mention it!

Thank you Cuddles, that's really nice of you.
Your knitting looks fab, very professional. Sadly mine is nowhere near as good so I'm attempting this baby blanket that has lots of deliberate holes...hopefully my mistakes will blend in lol.
