I find black wool difficult under electric lights especially for fiddly socks but is fine in daylight -just thought I would mention that :)

That's why it wouldn't matter if I made a mistake cos you wouldn't be able to see it :rotfl:

Whose wrap are you referring to, Mrs MoneyPenny?
  • Another passionate knitter here.

Currently on the mad rush to make everything for Christmas pressies. Already made a jumper for my niece and a lace shawl for one sister. Currently working on a lace, leaf patterned scarf for a friend and have walking socks, a bolero and a hat to make yet. Bit annoyed though as I am in the middle of knitting a wrap cardi for me I want to finish.

Just turned 39 and starting to have a problem knitting in black wool *sigh*

Im busy making Jean Greenhowes dinosaurs for Nephews boy for Christmas and have just bought from Ravelry a pattern for Oscar rabbit. I have been looking at it for months like a kid outside a sweetshop and finally got it :T Not that Ive got time to make him but you know I have to try. Am off to a knitting club on Tuesday night hopefully. So will let you know how it goes, am hoping for like minds - you know mad people who stash bags of wool under the bed and have enough patterns to last till they are 204 years old like me:j:j

Ginnyknit....there are a lot of us about....since my family moved out I have moved some of my stash to the smallest spare bedroom, but there is still lots in my bedroom.

I am happy to say that I now only have sweaters to knit for 2 grandsons ( 8&10) and 3 sons, 3 daughters and god knows how many more 'bits' which may never be finished....in time for Christmas anyway!
