Hi Knitters
I am not a regular knitter i'm afraid so apologies for crashing your thread but I recently had to get some wool for SM to knit replacement blankets (i lost the first ones) for my babies - finding the wool proved nearly impossible until I found this company.. I have had fantastic service from them and they have gone out of their way for me so if anybody likes to buy their wool online here are the details... Peachey Ethknits

FRUGAL - I've used Peachy Ethknits before and their customer service is brilliant. I thoroughly recommend them.
PENPEN - I hope you found STRESSEDOUTMUM's link to Jean Greenhowe's Tea Time Treats. Jean Greenhowe also has a knitting book called Teddy Bears' Picnic which is full of patterns for knitted food. Plenty of ideas. You can order it online from Jean Greenhowe Designs.

HI all,
DD4 decided that she wanted knitted gloves for winter, had to go for fine wool as she drives to college and I find it difficult to drive in anything other than fine gloves. Found a few patterns from the forties, knitted them yesterday as there was no MSE and I couldn't be doing too much work on Sunday could I? Not mad about the finished product as the pattern did the thumb separately and told you to leave a 2 inch gap to sew it into...they will do as I am not repeating the exercise in a hurry...there are at least four gilet type things waiting to be knitted when I get round to it, and the apparently never ending baby knitting these days.
Wonderful to be back

my son would love me to knit him a jumper for christmas, did one for hubby last year which came out quite nice. that was crew neck but he wants a polo neck. i seem to knit better with chunky or aran (have problems washing dk wool, loses shape) my tension is not so great either. also a pattern that is easy to follow even when decreasing as at moment i have to do combinations of knit and purl as i simple cant follow a pattern thats complicated when i am decreasing. am perfectly fine on the straight bit,. hope someone can help with some or all of the above :j as i would love to do more than just my scarves for my throw from magazine, thanks x0
