Has anyone here got any easy knitting instructions for a scarf. I got lots of different leftovers of blue wool and two young boys so I thought it would be a good way to use it up.
I had quite a few links with knitting patterns saved on my old computer but it crashed last week and I was unable to save anything so I have to start back from scratch0 -
Hi
I'm a new poster but an old lurker the this site (not to the OS threads though  sooo much to read!). Could I join the knitters thread please?
I have several projects on the go at the moment, RYCs Glade cardigan, a poncho/shawl thing in Big Wool which I made in 2 evenings but have yet to make up(!), a short cardigan for my eldest daughter in Sublime yarn which again I haven't made up although I've finished knitting it, a cardigan again in Sublime yarn for my middle daughter which I'm about halfway through, a lovely cardi for me in cotton which is finished but not made up (noticing a pattern yet?!) and I'm teaching myself to crochet so I'm making an afghan with all the squares I'm making for practise!
I've been knitting since my grandma taught me when I was about 6 (I made a 'stunning' peach batwing jumper for myself when I was about 8 or 9!) and like to have several thing on the go (although I hate making things up!)."I married beneath me, all women do." - Nancy Astor 1879-1964

I got some dishcloth cotton the other day - does it shrink much after washing? I usually wash my dishcloths with teatowels on a very hot wash, so should i make them a lot bigger than I need?weaving through the chaos...0

I've just done a tension square for my new project. 20sts and 28 rows to 4". The length is perfect but the width is only 31/2" if I swap to larger needles I guess that'll make the width right but won't it be too long then?0

Sorry if this has already been addressed before but I am after a pattern for a simple round necked mens jumper to use up wool like the ones that the guy wears on Time Team. Very stripy but useful this winter when we can't afford the heating!!!!0

Just spent a couple of hours looking through this great forum and associated links.
There goes another afternoon supposed to be used gainfully!
I am looking for a pattern for a ladies waist length, short sleeve (to elbow) summer weight cardigan but haven't been able to find the right one.
Any ideas gratefully received.0
