Hello
This is probably a silly question but i've seen loads of patterns for dishcloths. What do you use them for, is it literally washing the dishes?!
Thanks0 -
Hi Tracey - the dishcloths are more American than British! They use them for dishes and as face flannels but the patterns are very useful if you just want to knit squares to sew into blankets and also really useful for learning new stitches and patterns. As dishcloths, they probably last a lot longer than those we use in the UK and they are a great way of using up left over wool and dishcloth yarn. Perhaps we should start using them over here!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Thank you very much, might give it a try and see how it compares to normal dishcloths!0

Oooo I've just found this thread as well! I started knitting again a couple of years ago by looking at instructions on the internet, my mum had taught me when I was about 8 so it had been about 20 years! I started with a scarf...nice and easy
And then my next project was a jumper which was fine. Since then I've knitted a cardigan for myself and my daughter (used same pattern), a cardigan for the baby and a hooded cardigan for the baby. I started knitting an arran jumper for my husband but it's come to a standstill about 6" up the front as I got bored
At the moment I'm knitting a soft toy for the baby, it's flat with a stuffed head and now I've doing some ears for it. Would love to knit something else though but I'm running out of wool!
Anyway helloFluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

I have 2 different Alan Dart 1 Jean Greenhowe 1 Prima and 1 Womans Weekly, Australia. If anyone knows of any I would appreciate it I don't mind having to buy one so if you have a link that would be great.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0
