I took a 6500 slide with 500 minutes and 100 texts , £10 a month for life. However the phone is a refurb. It gets hot when you make a call, my hair gets caught in the slide, the battery is rubbish as I have to charge it everyday, and it has switched itself off a few times. Actually I don't like it at all ! Anyone one else having these problems or is it because it's a refurb ?
i had a refurb phone 6280 and it was suppost to be new. broke down after 2 mths so called them. they collected it and fixed it (well, it never was fixed) but in the end they swapped it for a brand new handset after weeks of hassle. they are usally guaranteed for 3mths or 1 yr.0 -
i hope they give me a good offer, as i cant get anything at the moment that comes close to what i have. also my 6280 is about to die too i think...0

I spoke to Customer services today to find out how much it would cost to get out of my contract, she offered a retention deal of discounts off my line rental and a whole list of free handsets - the only catch being I cant have them until after 12th june so need to ring back then and find out what line rental costs would be,
sounds good so far, will keep you updated

Just to let everyone know that it is still possible to get the £10.00 deals. I had a phone call today regarding my wifes phone. Offered 500mins and 100txt with either n95 or lg viewty. I have the n95 already but my wife does not like it. I asked about the ericson 850i but was told I could only have that on the 300 mix and match. So I have gone for the LG viewty. It is refurbished but that does not bother me.
So I now have two phones on the £10.00 deal. Happy days. Must be doing something right when I phone up to cancel!!! :beer:0 -
I have been with 3 for about 3.5 years now. For the last 11 months I have been on there £5 a month deal keeping my old N80 phone. They have now started to ring me offering me a New black 6500 silde not sure what talk and text package it was with it. I tild them to phone back later on as I was busy at work and its quite noisey in the background. Has anyone got a Nokia N95 out of them on a cheap deal recently?
If I do get the 6500 slide from them I am just going to Ebay there selling for up to £130 on there. I bought a used N95 from there for the same price just a couple of weeks ago.0 -
After I had given up on getting a good deal from 3 and bought my daughter an orange contract, they called once I had given notice- about 2 weeks later- and offered me a 6500 on a lifetime £10 tarriff of 500 mix and match and 300 3 to 3 minutes, for 18 months minimum. I wish I'd sat tight and waited but on the other hand I can sell the phone and use the sim for someone else in the family.0

My wife was offered 300 voice and 1000texts for £15/month. She told them she only wanted to pay £10 and settled for 150 voice and 750 texts for life with a nokia 6120 classic. It's hit and miss. When my contract ended they wouldn't offer anything that wasn't available on the web.0

Just looking for a bit of advice.
My contract ends on the 21st June 08 and I've just called Three to ask for my PAC as I'm hoping three will get back to me with a £10 deal, if not, I'll go over to Orange/O2 PAYG (for the time being and then probably sign up with Three via quidco etc). Or should I have asked them to cancel and then called up for a PAC if I hadn't been called for an offer.
They could only offer me what's currently on their website.. £15 for 300 mix and max and a new phone 6500 slide. I'm currently paying £30 for Direct Text 1400, although it works out at around £7.50 a month after all my discounts.0 -
I've got a couple of months to go on a 12 month contract. Currently I pay £15 for 500 mins and 100 texts. I don't really use those up even so wasn't interested in increasing the size of the package but have been offered a free N95 8gb or HTC Tyntn ii for the same contract. I said I'd think about it (just because I can't decide which phone to go for) and although they said they couldn't guarantee the same offer at a later date, I can't see it getting any worse. That was with no threats to leave by the way, I just told them I was ringing to find out what my options are.
(I've been with three for about 3 years and a loyalty discount is included in that offer).
I also pay the additional £5 for x-series silver for what it's worth so I pay £20 in total for the contract.0 -
I have been with 3 since 2003 and although the network coverage was an issue at the beginning, it has improved dramatically and I have been quite happy with 3 generally.
I am currently nearing the end of my 18 months contract - my tariff is a bit of an odd one - when i upgraded at the end of my last contract term back in January 2007, they offered me a T-mobile Flext equivalent which gives me £180 worth of usage (900min+1800 texts or any combination of the two) AND SE k800i for £26.25 per month - a 25% discount on the usualy £35 tariff price.
That was when I used to spend about £50 a month, always going over my allowances etc. So this tariff was perfect for me!
Since then I have rarely gone over the £180 usage they give me, except when I go abroad.
When I called today to see if they have any good offers and if they're willing to reward me for my loyalty (for being with 3 since 2003), but the operator had absolutely NOTHING to offer!
I was looking to reduce my line rental but the she was offering nothing new - just what anyone could get from their website. She kept insisting it wasn't for just anyone because only those who passed credit check would get it. True, but to use that as a selling point? Ridiculous!!
She also kept pushing particular phones such as Nokia 6500 classic/slide, SE Z750i etc. which I didn't want. Why would I want to downgrade my phone? K800i is a much better phone than the ones she offered.
The only other thing she could do for me was to continue on my current contract - no further discount or anything!
Now, that is definitely not what I would call an "offer".....
