BUT - this year there is a lot less competition, a lot of people are now very reluctant to go with cashback deals now- AND THEY KNOW IT !, but good luck !!

I currently have a SE k800i, on a text talk 700 plan. I use about 200 mins and 200 texts a month, dont bother with the video stuff.

I have phoned to try to cancel - giving notice - and I have been offered a k850i free on a 18 month contract for £18 per month, or £21 a month on a 12 month contract. This is for 300 mins, 150 tests, 25 video mins and 25 video messages. I told him I did not want the video messaging, but he just talked over me. He also offered me a N95 8gb for £30 a month with double what I am getting at the moment.

I explained to him that last year I had a 12 month contract with a new phone free, and they gave me this for £17.50 a month. He was not really interested, and kept going through his 'scripted talk'.

In the endI had to hang up on him because he would not put me through to anyone to cancel.

Should I call back and try again to see if I can speak to anyone else? My contract ends on 30th May.

I gave 30 days notice at the end of my contract which will finish this weekend. I havn't had an acceptable offer so decided to transfer to pay as you go. They say I need to give another 30 days notice. Is this true ? I just wanted to keep my number and port it but it looks like I've mucked it up !

or a

nokia 6500 slide or clasic 18 month contract with 500 anytime mix and match mins for £10 per month for life

there can only offer the k850 one one of my contracts and the nokia on the other. what are peoples thoughts. will they better the deal.

Fraid so, you now need to go through another 30 day period, you should have cancelled your contract and asked to convert to P0AYG at the same time.

Cancel your contract and ask to got to PAYG, then wait for them to call you !

Both very good deals in my opinion, personally I would be happy with the 6500 classic (not slide !) with mix n match 500 for £10 for life.

better deal ?- who knows ??, but do you take the risk of losing a good deal?, others have been offered deals and called back to find out the offer is no longer on the table.

i will go for the k850 if they can do me 500 mins. will be looking to sell handset as i already have the k850. may even take out the second offer with the nokia, depending how much i can get for the handset. will have to see which nokia sells for more on e bay.

Well, I had a phone call today and they have offered me mix & match 500 for £10.00 a month with Nokia 6500 slide which I have accepted.

Will be selling the phone, any ideas how much does the phone go far.
