I was on the £15 a month 1000text and 300 mins 18months contract and was "up" towards the end of the month. I cancelled and received a phonecall yesterday 3weeks into my notice period. They offered £5 for life on 12 month contract but NO PHONE but no other offers. As much as i was tempted to turn offer down and wait for another call and poss get a new handset to sell on Ebay........ I ACCEPTED!!! (cheap as chips)
I by the way Never go over my allowances, so £5 a month for me is great and didn't want to gamble with a good offer.
Hope this info might? help someone

I phoned to go on to payg today, and after lots of offers like the ones on the web I gave in when he 'spoke to his manager' and knocked £8 off. I am getting the n95 8gb for £22 instead of £30, on my old 1400 contract, for 18 months of course. I was tempted to hold out for a cheaper one, but as I'm paying £30 now on a very old broken phone I thought this was fine!
Good luck to others trying their luck, just keep umming and ahhing and checking out the phones on the net they talk about, and if the call gets very long the manager seems to come over and check on them...0 -

Got another call today, offer was improved !, still offered £10 a month for life for 500 mins and 100 txts, but the phone they offered to throw in a Refurbished N95.
Should I have taken it? anyone think the offer will be improved?, there are still 2 weeks until the phone converts to a PAYG, I really prefer a £5 a month deal.0 -
i'm 7 days away from disconnection. about a week ago I start getting calls with various offers, I always declined as I already upgraded with o2 but this is what i was offered today:
N95 refurb for £13 with 500 mins and 100 text (same price for 6500 slide)
or 6500 slide on mix and match 500 for £10 a month
or 500 min and 100 txt £8 a month (no handset)
I asked them to call me back when they did told them I would take the n95 for £10 she said no and I said ok. will see if they another day with anything better.0 -
I have just requested and received my PAC code, am I likely to now receive a better retention deal than £15 for 300flex minutes/txt?0

Who knows?, you're best just waiting for any calls, what you get is dependant on the past history of your account (in my opinion), look back on this thread for the deals that have been offered recently.0 -
Still no call from me and I canceled 2 contracts 29/03/080

Is there a correlation between people who have requested their PAC not receiving a call, and those that have decided to disconnect (giving their 30day notice) are receiving the call?
It may be that 3 aren't bothered calling those who are porting out, as people may have already ported out prior to them phoning (so in effext, they are wasting time). They would rather phone people who are a few days away from their disconnection date in a final bid to get them to continue.0 -

I have been getting regular calls, I decided to give 30 days notice and ask them to convert to PAYG. See back through the thread for the excellent deals I have been offered, so the PAYG route seems a good one to me.0
