Do you think? Ive always found three's customer service to be excellent. ALways call you back when they say they will. Always polite, professional and friendly.

Just because you didnt get what you wanted doesnt mean otherwise.
If this is your experience then I can understand that but you obviously do not listen to others or care about others'' experiences.
Customer services are okay unless you have a problem. That is when they are judged. Come back and tell us the same story if you have a dispute with them.

Er and the chances are you got what you wanted . This site is all about helping people not accepting bad deals and poor service. More and more there are programmes about customer service departments and the problems people with them. I say with them because that is where the problem is. All the head honchos make sure the public cant reach them.
This thread contains posts where customers are fed up of trying to get through to a department that can help them and do not want to be put through to India and talk to someone who does not understand them .
We do not wnat to waste hours on this and we do.
So I hope that more and more will decide not to chill out and express their discontent. It may start off on a site like this but as you have seen from some ot the things that Martin has achieved big stones can get turned by little ones.
So excuse me if I dont gel with your well I was alright Jack attitude.

They eventually offered her 500 mins for a tenner but no phone. There was a little time left so she waited as it sounded as if they would come back with a better deal. With a few days to go she tried to get in touch with someone to accept the deal only to find they reneged on it and would only offer her website terms at best. In effect they were calling her a liar about the £10 deal. She even wrote to the CEO and was contacted by someone supposedly from his office but again would offer nothing at all.

Nope, your wife gambled and lost. She was offered a deal and declined it, gambling that she would be offered a cheaper deal. Did 3 say that she could call back a few days later and accept the £10 deal, or was it a 'then and there' deal? If it was the former, then I am sure that the department that called her gave their name and phone number. They did didn't they?

Ah the old "Do you work for..." quote. It always seems to appear when someone cannot seem to accept that the world doesn't agree with them. So to pre-empt your question, the answer is no.

Exactly!! And as i said IMHO it is a fantastic deal £80 Quidco, £30 RAF, £15 Of someone else's RAF, £20 accesories code p lus ive referred people. Ive not actually had to pay a bill for over a year!! And as a say the service has been fantastic. In call centres staff do not always call you back - Three have always done so for me. They have always actioned any request.

I appreciate your view may be different (whilst you seem unable to accept anyone elses!!) however this isnt your thread nor do you have a devine right for your view to become paramount.

Anyhow this is my last comment on this matter as its getting tedious- its clear you just really dont get it. If you dislike them so much why would you try to get another deal with them?! Talk about hitting them where it hurts. Enjoy your frustrations in life. :p

    .
She was told the offer would stay on file. She was told she would be phoned back. They didn't so unless you are going to call her a liar get off your high horse and accept what happened.
And maybe you think it is good business practice that customers should have to gamble, in your words, as to what deal they are offered.

As I have said because you have got what you want out of them you are taking the I am alright jack attitude. So you have not had to pay a bill for a year.
As I say if you read this thread you will find a lot have said they are leaving 3 because of exactly the things I have been saying. So you are the lucky one who have had phone calls returned and the service you claim. Well come back on site and let us know how you feel if you received the service that others have.
In the meantime I am happy to warn others and then they can make up their own minds. In the same way I have listened to others. Just as posters who shared information about companies like Mobile Rainbow and the like and saved us losing money.
Lastly this is a thread about 3 retention deals. If you want to start a thread about the appreciation of 3 customer service go ahead. So all of those who would applaud your posts are also applauding customer service offering a retention deal that would work out more expensive than if you took a new contract.

Yes, it's great business practice. What you fail to understand is the aim of a business is to make the maximum amount of money possible. Being 'fair' or 'nice' doesn't come into it.

However you wanted to pay the minimum amount of money possible, less than the published tariff.

You say that this is a thread about 3 retention deals. Well stick to the point yourself. Rather than moan about letting a deal slip through your fingers, stick to the facts which can help others. That is if 3 phone and offer you a deal you like, you have to make a decision - do I accept it, or do I gamble that a better one will come along, because once I put the phone down then the offered deal may never come back.
