3 Retention Deals

Hi
I called 3 on saturday to give my 30 days notice, and then to transfer the contract to payg to see if they would offer me and better deals...
They made the switch straight away to payg! So I don't think I'll be getting that magical call back with a offer!!0 -
Ok so, called up said i was going to leave change me to payg after an 18 month contract regularly going over on minutes and texts
...
They offered me Nokia N73 for £5 a month with 500 minutes and 100 texts
or
The Nokia N95 for £10 with 300 mix and match +300 3 to 3 calls...
I went with the N95 because the guy i spoke to - when i asked about memory said it could store upto 8GB - so i assumed it was the N95 8GB version.. Today the phones come through and its not the 8GB improved version.
I called up and i am going to be called back in the next 2 days (apparently) by the guy who originally sold me the contract. I would rather have the N73 for £5 than the N95 (basic model) for £10 - so i am pretty gutted about it.
What can i do?
i am thinking either return the phone outright and hope the N73 offer is still on or sell the N95 on ebay for about £150-180? But then i would be left with no new phone0 -
Interested to know what you were on before and whether you called them or they called you with the deal.

Tis that time of year again, got two contracts running simultaneously for myself and Mrs Raven they've been going a few years and last years deal was the "no handset" 500mins/100txt for £30 for the full 12 months - which was great.
Rang in last week and was offered a bog standard retention offer which was dismissed and requested the pac codes for both phones, just got a call offering 300 mix'n'match (mins/txts) plus 300 3to3 mins (plus 1000 skype plus msn - not really sure about these) along with SEk850i phones.
They want £10 per month on one contract and £15 p/m for the other
They said one account (Mrs Ravens phone) was more valuable. I explained I was happy with the deal at £10 for both accounts but they said no.
They then gave me my pac codes for both contracts, so will wait another week or so and then switch over to the Ntl/Virgin £10 p/m deal. :think:I'd like to teach the World to sing in perfect Harmony:j

Hi all,
I'm on 3 at the moment with 1000 text and 300 x-net mins paying £15 a month.
Contract expires in a month and they have offered to keep me on the same plan for £19.
Can this be beaten?
Are there any better offers out there?
Some one please help me through this minefield.
TIA

The 8gb 95 is better yes as it is how the phone was meant to have come out before it was rushed out onto shelves but trust me if you're dissapointed with paying a tenner a month for a N95 there is something wrong with you

Not too sure if this is a good deal.
Presently on 500 mins/100 texts (£20p/m forl life) in month 9 got a phone call basically say they would offer
n95 +8gb card for 12 months for £20 p/m
n95 8gb ie black for 18 months for £20 p/m
really wanted the black version but don't want 18 month contract so went for 12 month deal which should arrive tomorrow. however the guy mentioned that if I move change tariff or change my phone ownership(sell it) I lose my discount ie £10 for life. Also stated new contract will start after my existing one finishes ie in May '08. Therefore will finish in MAy 09
When I have renewed my contract before they upgraded then for 12 months. Is this not the case anymore? As I will have then had the phone for 15 months! Or should I return the phone back to try for a better deal.
