Anyone been able to change their number and stay with 3, do they charge for this? Want to know before my husband calls them.

    thanks!
Don't think you can, when you get a pac code I am pretty sure it is only able to use on a different network and not able to use on a new three contract. If you mean change your number and stay with three as I have just realised what you wrote then just take out a second contract. It is very common for folk to do this for family members and they like having the extra income :D
  • When my cashback deal,(which i never received owing to the company going into liquidation) ended last month i tried to get the £5 a month for life deal. But despite numerous calls from the retention department when i said i was going to convert to PAYG,the best offer was £10 a month with 200 added texts which i will never use. I finally accepted this deal, but when i received the confirmation letter it said i was now on the £5 a month for life deal. But when my first bill came in it was for £10. When i rang 3 they said this letter was a mistake and should not have been sent.
Can anybody advise me if i have a legal claim to the £5 a month deal with this letter.
    Thank-you in anticipation.
  • Update to my previous posts. Originally offered £10.00 a month for 200 min and 100 text. Requested pac code and waited a few days. Got phone call off 3 retentions. £5.00 a month for 500min and 100text with no phone. Now I would have snapped there arm off but my phone has just been water damaged thanks to baby, so I had to say no. Then they offered me £10 deal with any phone refurbished. N95 thankyou. Job done. Just be nice, be patient and polite, and hope that you are one of the chosen few who get the call back.
I also have a second contract which is still a month away from being able to upgrade. I asked him if I could do it with this and he said not at the moment, but if i do the same thing in a month "then i will surely get a call back from his department"

I waited through the first month and never used my PAC code. Got another and was waiting in vain for the call.

I finally cracked a few mins ago. Rang up again, best offer was £15 pm for 300 xnet minutes or texts, a Nokia N73 and a one off £20 credit. He assured me it was the best I was going to get and I don't think there's anything else going on without cashback deals.

Am glad it's over. Seems only the chosen few get the really good deals!

  • got my call yesterday from 07782333333 dont know why it wasnt witheld but that isnt my problem. Anyways after a bit of haggling and various offers such as new n95 500mins 100 texts for £20 a month, then Special offers at the minute on all Sony Ericsson phones such as the new (supposidely a new update, they said only been out for one week) K850i 300 3to3 mins then 300 units (1min or 1text =1unit) + 1000 mins skype calls for £10pm. They then came back and offered a n95 500mins 100texts 18 month contract £10 a month which i was relieved to hear and gladly accepted, can upgrade after 15 months, dont know whether to just sell the phone now though and just pay the contract off?
