Mix and Match 1100 deal seems to have been extended until 10pm today (Mon).
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.
  • how do you know its been exteneded to 10pm?
  • Because the timer run out at 10 am
  • Just done my upgrade with 3 they offered me theDirect 1000 plan ( 750 mins 150 text 50 pics etc) for £20 a month 18 months contract and a Nokia n95 black free.

what do you think guys was that a good deal or did they rip me off?
  • It sounds quite good really. Definately a lot cheaper than you would have got online or instore. It depends how much you want the N95. People have got slightly lower plans for £10.00 or even £5.00 on occasions but without that phone. If your not bothered about the phone you could always flog it. Seem to be going for a couple of hundered easily on ebay. On average that would bring line rental down to around £8 or £9 a month. cant be bad
  • Sounds good - getting an N95 for £20 p/m is a bargain anyway, as well as a decent amount of mins/texts. Good work!
  • I am in the 30 day notice period with 3 and have had all kinds of annoying conversations with them but thats another story! What they finally offered a couple of days after I had recieved my PAC code was a refurbished SE K800i or a new Nokia 6288 (I think) for the princely sum of £5 per month for 18 month. This included 500 anytime/network minutes and 100 text. How does that sound?

Incidentally they have now made this offer twice.
  • Take the SE K800i, not the 6288. A much better phone (I've had both on 3).
£5 per month is excellent for those mins/texts.
  • Thanks for the advice, but to be honest I am fed up to the back teeth with their antics so I am thinking of moving to o2 Simplicity 30 which for my £30 gives me 1200 mins anytime/network, 1000 text and 2000 anytime landline minutes, which for somebody who regularly exceeds their 750 mins and 150 text is probably a better option (and its only 30 days notice anytime). And I wont have to deal with Customer Service teams about upgrades, retention etc etc.
  • Ok just had my first bill, and am pretty happy that I was offered (and have been charged for) the following:

    Mix and Match 300
    Add Text 200 Bundle
    Sony Ericsson K850i
    for £10 a month :)

Thats pretty cheap, and the contract will continue past the 18 months too, it's pretty crazy because it's a new release phone and the contract costs only just about covers the cost of the phone. The guy I dealt to was very pleasant and helpful, he also rang me back when he said he would - to confirm the deal with me (after I checked with my bro that he wanted the deal).
