Hi everyone, my contract expires on the 1st April which means I need to cancel (at the latest) by the 1st of March (30 days notice). I've been with three for over three years now. My current deal is SE K800i 500 minutes 100 texts, 1 year contract and it was £30 per month but I didn't pay the first six months. So overall, it worked out at just under £15.00 a month. Been calling them and trying to get a better deal but the best they could offer me was £15.00 per month for 100 texts and 200 minutes (!). I'm going to call the retention team directly and see what they can do. The guy on the other end explained that deals are constantly changing.
Anyway, I wanted to ask anyone here that if I managed to get a decent deal with a k850i, surely I could flog it on ebay and cover my bills that way. But would it be difficult to unlock a phone from three that I've just received? Is it recommended etc?0 -

If you are just going to flog it on ebay you will probably be better trying to get a contract with a n95. They do do contracts without phones. In my previous post I quoted the Sony Ericsson deal I was offered.
Hope this helps.0 -

They told me today they don't do contracts without phones anymore.
Why would I be better to get a contract with an n95? She kept telling me the n73 was a better phone overall and less bulky than the n95. Basically I want the one that will go for the best price on eBay so I can cover all my bills! Is it easy to get a three phone unlocked or does depend on the manufacturer.
Today the deal they offerred me was a bit better but nothing marginal. I want to up the ante a bit should I ask for my PAC code and see what happens?0 -

Best thing to do then is go onto ebay and click completed listings then search through to see what prices ones that are locked to 3 have sold for over the past couple of days. You should then take the 3 simlock option out of your search and see what price difference it makes if any. I am not too clued up about unlocking phones best to wait for someone with more knowledge to reply.0 -

Did you get the deal from retention or from upgrades? If retention when did you give in your notice.
Personally I would go for the N95 if I got the choice0 -
Handed my notice in 3 weeks ago.
3 CAlled me a week later but I missed the call.
They called me today and offered me a £17.50 contract and new phone. I refused.
They called me back 30 mins later - lovely girl from India with a beautiful accent
Offered me a £13.50/month deal and a refurb phone. I turned it down.
Eventually, offered me an 18 month contract / no phone - 500mins/100 texts for £10/month (= £180). They then applied a £150 credit, so I will be paying £30 for the entire 18 months (£1.65/month)
Very happy.
Must admit, 3 have always come up trumps when offering me a retention.0 -
