3 Retention Deals

You werent speaking to the second level retentions team. The only way to get them to call you is to ask for your PAC.0

Unless you ask for your PAC they are not really interested as asking for it shows that you are serious about leaving them.
Be prepared to fight for 45 minutes or so before they will release it to you as they put up quite a fight.0 -
Ok. I also just found a better deal somewhere else so will give that a mention.0

Just had Crystal on the phone again. Told her i would have the phone...then she said about the £69 upfront cost...told her no chance! So, she's going to have a word with her manager and ring back.
The S3 from Tesco's is arriving today as well! I was going to give it back to the driver, but i might keep it until the other one turns up, and i'd feel better sending it back myself so i have proof of posting ETC. 2 years ago O2 tried to say i hadn't returned a phone and tried to charge me nearly £700! Luckily i had kept my receipt. Didn't hear anything afterwards until last week, when a random debt collection agency got in touch, and told me O2 wanted nearly £40 for 'ending my contract early'. Err...no, it was an upgrade, and i sent it back within the 14 days, after speaking to them on the phone! Chancers!
So yeah, NOT going through all that again!0 -

The only team who can offer "good deals" is the outbound retentions team. You have to ask for your pac code and they will call you back within 48 hours. The normal "customer option" team can't do much.
The £10 thing goes with what i said earlier where retentions can't offer more than £10 bill credit anymore.0 -
Just managed to get my PAC code off them, only took 35 minutes this time. Only offered what was on web so will wait for retentions to ring in the next few days.0

Having thought about it, there isn't anything wrong with my current phone really and I don't want to agree to a 24 month contact at the moment, so I have gone SIM only for now, which has halved my bill. Will rethink in a few months and when I do I will ask for my PAC code etc.
Thanks for the advice.0 -
Well the Tesco S3 has arrived...i love it! I'm getting DL speeds of nearly 900 kb/s...faster than the MIL's TalkTalk connection! Do you think it's worth getting the 4g phone? I'm torn now!0
