Currently paying £10pm for:
M+M 300 plus 200 texts add-on (18 month contract with free phone)
Offered initially:
£10pm with SE Cedar phone (cheap candy bar)
M+M 300, 3000 three minutes, 1 gb internet - 24 month contract!!
Without phone I could get:
£5pm sim-only
M+M 300, 5000 three minutes, 2gb internet (weird I know but he kept on repeating two g-b) - 12 month contract (then rolling contract thereafter)
For £5 a month I think it is a risk, to transfer over a number and continue using it! Good price imo; admittedly I am only paying £7.50 pm with T-mobile for 500 texts, 600 mins, 3gb internet + bolt-on. But for my Mum's usage £5 is OK.Student Moneysaving Expert :beer:0 -
I'm into the last month of my contract, and I'm wondering if they call you or if you have to call them. Also if they do call then roughly how many days before the end is the average, and do you have any great tips?0

I got offered the same (refurbished Desire HD at £23pm), was told it was a super special deal no-one else was offered :rotfl:. Ended up cancelling my contract with them after the Indian guy pretty much called me a liar about their reception being rubbish in my area. He also refused to believe I had been offered better deals elsewhere (like i really cared if he believed me).
He stated that if i requested a PAC code that my contract would continue to run until I used it, is that true? I told him to forget the PAC code if it meant I had to give a further 30 days notice if i hadnt used it in a month. Was also told that if I wanted to change it to a PAYG sim, i would have to pay £10 as a top up first, is that true too?0 -
I think my contract runs out 7th April so am going to phone 3 tomorrow to see what they can offer me. Would like the Desire HD or if not just the Desire, preferably on less than £25pm with at least 1gb internet, 500 mins is plenty, and however many thousands of texts are offered.
Couple of questions, do they only offer internet as 500mb, 1gb or the one plan option? For example, could i ask for something between 1gb and unlimited?
Also, i'm quite happy with my old £20 text deal, 200mins, 4000 texts and 2gb internet. What happens when my contract runs out, does it just continue? And if so, how long for? If it just carries on i might look into just buying myself a handset.0 -
