3 Retention Deals

Just taken up a new contract with them:
24 months on their one plan which is pretty much unlimited everything + 2 years warranty and a free HTC Desire HD. All for £23 a month.0 -
How did you manage to get this? I was offered this but for £15 a month... also read that something got the £13 deal WITH an HTC Desire?? I would really like that deal! Any advice??
They offered it to me for £15 as well, so I gave my 30 days notice and told them not to bother with the PAC as it's about time I changed my number and was looking at a deal with either GiffGaff or Asda.
2nd to last day of my notice I had a call from retentions who offered me the £15 deal again so told them not interested again, however if they wanted to cut a deal I did want another contract as well for the missus for 300 mins + texts sim only so they could have 2 contracts or none. So they gave me the £15 deal for £13 and the new contract at face value of £10.

Hello, I posted this in another thread but thought it might help someone here:
I was able to negotiate for my mother with 3 a sim only deal:
900 mix and match mins and text
3000 free 3 to 3 calls
1GB internet
= £9 a month.
It's a 12 month contract but you can upgrade for free at any time. This is normally £20 a month but I was able to get additional discounts by essentially whining how 3 does not reward customer loyalty and how not everyone is interested in flashy phones and being tied to a contract for 2 years.
I would advise that when you talk to the customer service agents you look at the website at the same time so you can see whether they are offering you an 'exclusive' deal which is also given to new customers. I did this and caught out the agent 'bending the truth' a number of times :-)0 -
The customer service are being pretty stubborn with me. Saying no way anyone would be given the HtC Desire HD for less than the One Plan (£35/month). Got burnt into a 'flexible tariff' contract as their offers at the end of my 18 months were dire. 4 months on, I have now learnt my "loyalty discount" will not and CAN not be applied onto my upgrade handset (as I had been fooled into believing). I was more or less challenged by the customer service operator to PROVE someone could get the HTC Desire HD on cheaper deal.
Any of you out there, that can help out... please PM me. Thank You.
I am in exactly the same boat as you.
I took the 12 month 'flexible tariff' in November. After 2 days of calls to upgrades, I discovered that I can cancel my contract with no extra fees. I had at the very least expected to have to buy-out the remainder of the contract but not so. :j
I'm after an HTC Desire HD but they won't budge from the £35 One Plan deal.
I now have my PAC so the wait begins to see what offers the retentions team will pull out of the bag ....0 -
What is a 12 months flexible tariff? Do you mean you are out of contract and if so won't you be on a 1 month rolling contract rather than 12 months.0

No, it's basically a last resort contract they offer when you won't take an upgrade at the end of your contract.
I got a slight improvement on what I would have had on the rolling contract, however it seems as if there's no financial penalty for cancelling.0 -
Sounds good compared to what I'm being offered. Which department did you speak to? I can only get hold of the Indian call centre who don't seem to be moveable on their offer of 500 minutes for £15 for 24 months.
Has anyone had a good offer from 3 recently?London_baby wrote: »Hello, I posted this in another thread but thought it might help someone here:
