3 Retention Deals

spoke to 3 about upgrades they offered me 100 min n 100 txts on 18 mnth with a basic phone for £ 20.00 per mnth, they told me the computer said that was only deal they can offer me.

seems like they want to get rid of there existing customers. will i get a better of them by serving notice and them ring me back a few days before it ends ?

How can they offer you a worse deal than the advertised deals?

because they are for new customers only, and i want to keep my number

I called Three late last night. I was on 100min 100txt, £5 download and the contract end in next march. average £2.5/month. My account is still in credit.:j
I asked for a SE W910i. the final offer on 12 month contract:
save tarrif, £16/month, free W910i.
I accepted the offer.
I will still very happy my N73 with satnav. will list it on ebay for £200. Another year free usage.
The downside is that the new contract has to start from March.
By the way £14/month if I choose 18 month.

hey i've just been offered a nokia e65, 300mins, 350 texts. which suits my usage for £25 for 12 months. i've seen the phone sell for avg £100 on ebay. so that's £200 for 12 months. how does that measure up with other retentions. 3 seem to change the deals by the hour, sometimes it seems it depends on who you get.
by the way my contract has ended. it's ran on for a month or so. i had the call back near the end but the deals were rubbish at the time. but i now need to sort something out as £35 pm, my current deal, is too much. thankfully e2save, those nice folk, accidentally sent me out 2 auto cheques for a hundred and odd quid so i'm still up on it.

just had 3 phone me to offer me a deal to stay, must be the time of year.
500m 300t £13 p/m for life (min 18 months)with a choice of:
nokia 6288, 6120.
sony 660i, 800i, z610.
i think i'll go for that i just need to pick a phone.
they're calling me back in 20 mins, so if you know which phone could be resold for the most let me know while i search.

i phoned 3 today to check if they have recieved my termination notice which i sent 2 weeks ago but they denied recieving it..anyway to convince me to stay with them they offered me 500 min+100 texts for £18/month for 18 months...the handset is a SE flip phone (cant remember the model)...i told them i need to think...was this a good deal? can i get any better?

I'm just getting 500+100, no handset for £5 a month for 12 months....
