jam_tomorrow wrote: »Hi, I have thee contracts with 3 all are due upgrades as the contracts are up in January.
Myslf And boyfriend are on £20 texter ( 200 mins anytime, free 3 to 3 and unlimited internet) and we have a discount of £6. Son is on £15 texter (100 mins, free3 to 3 and free internet)
For Christmas daughter would like a blackberry on contract (she is currently on orange payg ) and son would like iphone if at all doable.
Myself and boyfriend are happy to keep are exsisting handsets
Any advice as to how to go about this as a package, ie could I take out a new sim only contract for daughter then use my upgrade to get her blackberry and swap the sims over so she doesn't end up with my number(can you do that).
What do you think they should be offering me given that I've been with them for 4 years, have 3 contracts and am looking to take out the 4th?
Any advice welcomed
With the BB you'll need to pay £5 extra per month, to use the BB services that what I was told. They offered me the BB for £19(+£5), so £24 per month, for 500 minutes, and all the rest, with the BB Bold for £40 and the BB torch for £95.0 -
I rang 3 over 2 weeks ago and I got offered this deal:-
300 xnet mins
5000 3to3 mins
2gb internet
unlimited texts
£10 a month on a 12 month sim only deal.
I went for this deal as im after a HTC Desire HD and at the time of phoning them they could not offer this phone to me as they did not have the phone in stock. The CS assistant told me that I should be able to get a Desire HD when I ring back in about a months time as my contract expired on 15th Feb. I am now on this 12 month contract and keep trying to ring up to get an upgrade which im eligible for but only seem to get deals that are quoted on the website. The deals seemed e much better when I was on my old contract and when it was nearly expiring. I feel I have been miss sold this new contract as the cs assistant said I should be able to get the desire HD for £22 a month.
Has anyone else had similar stories, do you think I will get a good deal now or do I know have no chance???0 -
just tried to cancel a three broadband dongle (no signal home, but before the change in euro roaming, used to get free 3 to 3italia connection) and was told that three have won a case to have contract deals between sister companies reinstated. I haven't put that very well, but the question is, does anyone know anything about three, offcom and euro data roaming changes/announcements due sometime in 2011?
As far as I know this is utter rubbish. I believe 3 withdrew the "3 like home" offering from UK subscribers for commercial reasons. They still offer 3 like home to Irish, Italian, Austrian and Australian subscribers. Three of the 4 markets to which they still offer 3 like home roaming are within the EU so I think it's very unlikely that some EU regulation prevented them from keeping the roaming agreement with their sister networks. They also still offer cut price roaming in the Republic of Ireland to British customers (presumably because they feared too many Northern Irish customers would leave 3 when three like home was withdrawn). Three just want the almost 100% profit they collect when UK customers roam on to sister networks who don't charge them for routing calls back to the UK.
However you're very late for trying to cancel due to the removal of 3 like home. It was withdrawn in June 2009. According to the contract you had a 30 day window from when they informed you of the change (they sent all customers a text message in April/May 2009)
If you're locked in to a contract you could write to them asking them to let you go as a goodwill gesture, don't hold out too much hope though. I cancelled a contract within the 30 day window last year and that took several letters and threats of legal action before they honored the contract terms and issued a pac code.0 -
Just rang them yesterday to upgrade and they gave me the N8 (free) for £15 a month, with 500 mins, 5000 3-3, 3000 texts, 2GB internet usage, (18 months).
Gave this within 10 minutes of calling.
Wow now that's what I'm talking about, was this through retentions and asking for PAC etc, also what tariff were you on previously, if you don't mind me asking
CheersTighter than a gnats ****0 -
Is there any way to get an upgrade 9 months into an 18 month contract?0

I've been watching this part of the forum in anticipation over the last month to see what sort of deals people have been offered. My contract expires mid January and I've tried 3 times to get a HTC desire, have been offered:
5000 3-3
5000 texts
500 mins
1 gb internet
24 month
first time (october) i rang they offered £27 a month
second time (november) i rang they offered £22 a month
third time (december) rang they offered £25 a month.....i know....
today they rang me up offering me the "special" deal of £30 a month! then he told me i was wrong, couldn't get it for 18 months and that I couldn't get it any cheaper anywhere else!!!!
I'm fairly sure they just drop their lunch on the keyboard and read out whatever number so happens to pop up :@0 -

Nope, was just through the normal upgrade line, was on the same tariff before, but for 25£, at first I was offered it for 18.75£ (25% off), but got it down to 15£. So I thought it was a great deal!0 -

The 22£ should be on their system, so not sure why it went up, but maybe try ringing closer to end of contract.0 -
