My contract is due to expire in May and id love the HTC Hero, currently i pay £18 for 500 mix and match and its £25 a month on the Hero. Does anyone know if i could bargain them down to £18 for it? Or has anyone had any great bargains on it? Many thanks0

Had another call from 3 today while I was at work just offering me the same Hero deal as before (bog-standard £25 a month one, 24months etc). I've been doing some research and have decided the phone for me is the HTC Legend, so just this minute have signed up to Vodafone as they're the only ones doing it at the moment and I'd be mad to sign up to 3 for the inferior Hero for the same price.
Back with Vodafone after a decade - that number of mine has been ported around a bit!
3 really didn't try hard at all, and the guys who phoned me are so insistent I am getting a great deal. They repeatedly tried to offer me £10 a month sim-only deal which is worse than my existing £13 a month deal as it has no internet and I kept telling them that I use the phone for txts and the net and make next to no calls.
Ill have a loksie on Vodafone's website, thanks:T0 -
I'm not really sure if this is a great deal, but I have just agreed the following:
Mix & Match 300
1GB Internet
HTC Hero
I got the above for £10 a month, but with a £200 one of cost for the Hero. I'm happy with the tariff, just not sure if I paid over the odds for the Hero. What would people say is a reasonable amount to pay for that phone?0 -
I have a mix & match 500 at a discounted rate of £10 per month. The 18 month contract expires 4th June, the bill does not show any discount it is showing £8.51 + £1.49 VAT. Does anyone know if it will just continue at that rate after expiry if I don't cancel it? If so I can just wait untill something better comes along and give them 30 days notice to cancel.0

Dunno, but it's £299 on Amazon.
I was on £13 a month (400mins, 0.5gb internet, 250 txts) and they offered it to me for £140 I think.0 -
I've got 2 Three phones - mix and match 300 £15 never go over and 500mins + 100 texts lifetime £5 deal which I have spent £30 month for last 3 months. Both phones out of contract period.
Any advice on strategy I would like 1 realy nice phone and probably more minutes on one. Is it daft to risk losing the £5 a month deal by asking for PAC code and seeing if they call my bluff? If I change my mind on the last day can I keep the £5 deal?
Thanks0 -

Hate to point it out but T-Mobile have the HTC Desire (far superior to the Hero) for a one of cost of £164 and £10 per month with 100 mins unlimited texts and a 3gb internet allowance each month (compared to three's 1gb)0 -

I rejected the delivery of my upgrade as I found out about this deal almost immediately after I accepted 3's upgrade offer. I was just curious to see if anyone else had managed to get the Hero from 3 for a cheaper price on a similar tariff, as I would like to stay with 3 as I do make use their Skype service. It would be a lot easier for me if 3 just made their Skype app compatible with all Android phones and not just ones that have 3 branding.0 -

This seems like a good deal when you see the phone on Expansys for £440 sim-free. I'm not in a rush to upgrade but I phoned Three for my PAC to see what they could/would offer.
They told me they are getting the Desire on the 20th April but couldn't give me a price yet. They tried to offer me a Hero but I wasn't after a Hero, and then they offered me a phone for £5 a month on 18 month contract with free internet (all I got was it was a slide phone worth £300 - £350).
I'm not sure how much better/worse T-mobile will be in the short term (soon Orange, Tmobile and Three could be sharing masts) but £10 a month isn't too heavy a contract to sign up to. If only we knew what Apple were planning!0 -
Coming towards end of my 18 month contract. I dont need a new phone as I purchased a Sony Satio upon release in October...
At the moment I have:
300 cross network minutes
1000 UK text messages
50 multimedia messages
50 video minutes
£5 downloads
1gb Internet
2986 landline minutes
£23/month (that was with a C510)
Ideally I'd like more minutes and texts, if I take SIM only deal do you think this is possible?0
