I spoke to them (well missus actually, as it's her phone/contract) and was told that the contract could take 14 days to arrive. But thinking about it now, by then I suppose it's too late to return the phone and perhaps then too late to cancel the contract. I think we'll call them tomorrow. Maybe they can email the details of the new contracts or something.
I received the written contract in the post today (without prompting them), one week after agreeing the contract my phone. It is as agreed: £15-a-month for Mix and Match 300 with a £10-a-month retention discount.0 -
Well i'm two months away from my contract ending and 3 offered me a deal that would be a 2nd contract with a new number, with 33% discount of any deal they have. Is that worth it or can i get a better deal waiting for retentions? I will obviosuly have another contract but i can cancel that in two months time, get a pac code transfer it to another company then back to 3 again. I have until 30th April to decide0

Hi Runman - this is pretty much a similar thing that has happened to me. (read my post a couple of pages back). Anyway, when I was on the phone (when they called me), I was feeling a little suspicious (guy sounded liek a wide boy!), even though the deals sound pretty good. Basically from what I have read, I **think** the company that contacted me were a side company / contracted one to three! I've stalled them a little bit. I'm thinking about calling 3 myself and quizzing their deals / retentions.
Anyway - point of my post - it may have been the same people that called you. I'd call 3 and ask them yourself for the deals if you're serious about a change soon
Keep us posted!"The future needs a big kiss"0 -
Thanks for that. I'll call 3 directly and speak to their retentions team. I got a call from a 0800 offering me that deal. Good to be cautious, especially with these bogus companies around.0

Got pac last week and intended to leave 3, but was finally offered Nokia 5800, 75 mins, unlimited 3 to 3, unlimited text, unlimited internet all for £10 a month on 18 month deal, too good to let go:)0

Just spoke to 3 again my contract is up so looking for a better deal:)!
Yesterday they offered me a Nokia x6 (free just for me normally £120) with free delivery unlimited texts internet and 500 mins plus 3to3 calls all for the SPECIAL one time only price of £25 ( funnily enough the same internet deal is on their site for other longstanding customers to order:mad:).
So called them again today as they did not return call me this morning as they said they would:mad:.
Got the better deal of 1100 mix n match with unlimited internet for £27 a month which is £42 without internet on their site, unfortunately for them I have the similar deal through Tmobile (900mins unlimited internet 500texts netted down to £22.29)
So bye bye to 3:D
Hope the X6 deals helps tho:)0 -
Had another call from 3 today while I was at work just offering me the same Hero deal as before (bog-standard £25 a month one, 24months etc). I've been doing some research and have decided the phone for me is the HTC Legend, so just this minute have signed up to Vodafone as they're the only ones doing it at the moment and I'd be mad to sign up to 3 for the inferior Hero for the same price.
Back with Vodafone after a decade - that number of mine has been ported around a bit!
3 really didn't try hard at all, and the guys who phoned me are so insistent I am getting a great deal. They repeatedly tried to offer me £10 a month sim-only deal which is worse than my existing £13 a month deal as it has no internet and I kept telling them that I use the phone for txts and the net and make next to no calls.0
