Thats an incredible deal! I've been with them for about 6 years and on my current deal 3+. My contract has been rolling the last couple of months and I've been paying £10 for 500 mins/100 texts plus the £5 internet add-on. They wanted to charge me £110+ for the Bold and I've begrudgingly agreed on the HTC Hero for £70 and am already having second thoughts...

    Hi all,

I been trying to negotiate a deal with 3 for the HTC Hero but they refuse to budge completely!!

I pay £28pm and have requested my PAC code, I called them back and the woman I spoke with went onto T-Mobile's site and saw the deals for £27.50pm & £30pm over 18 months and completely refuse to match it!!

Is there anything I can do at all? All 3 keep telling me is that there are no offers on this phone at all and 24 months for £35pm is all they will do..

Do I have to give up and go elsewhere for this phone?

Keep trying with 3. I've called them just under 20 times within the last 10 days, the last time i tried was 2 days ago & they said that they wouldn't budge on £35 for the HTC hero ... Today i recieved a call from 1 of the operators who i spoke to 5 days ago offering me the htc hero for £25 on a 24 month contract (500mins, utld text, internet & 3-3calls) - this operator offered me the deal when i originally called & they said that they would ring back in "5 mins" ... i think mins = days!!! - needless to say i snapped their hand off !!! :D

It seems to be pot luck with their call centre & their staff don't talk to each other when offering deals.
  • I barely spend them, only pay extra when calling 0845/0870 numbers sometimes..
the reaon i was looking to change was reception at home, but the other networks dont offer any greater reception..and likely t mobile/o2 will slap it up to a 40 quid for this phone and minutes
    Thanks.

I called today for my PAC and was offered the Nokia 5800 or their new INQ for £5 p/m (not including internet). They wanted to charge me £110+ for the Blackberry Bold and I've begrudgingly agreed on the HTC Hero for £70 and am already having second thoughts...

What do you guys think? Am I paying a premium for downgrading and being tied into another 18 months...

Well, I have tried and tried and the best I could get was £25pm, 500mins, unlimited texts, unlimited net but £147 up front. I don't want to pay £147 up front as you can get the phone, the G2 version (this is the same?) for free on £30pm. They wouldn't split the cost over the 18 months either which was annoying as I would have said yes..

Oh well, have to leave then..

I am coming to the end of an 18 I use unlimited internet and around 50 texts per month. The best deal I can see is £15 per month on month to month basis which is what I want for now. Anyone been offered anything better?

They couldn't offer me better when I rang but I am fairly happy with that. I am happy with the network running my jailbroken iPhone 3G and want to keep my options open if Apple's new iPhone is super duper compared to my current one

  • My contract expires next Friday. Current deal was 12months, free Nokia E71, 500mins and 100txts, £20/month (inc £10 loyalty discount), with £5 for unlimited internet.

I'm happy with the phone and it is in good condition. Just got off the phone with customer service and the best i could be offered was the £15 sim-only deal available. It is pretty decent: 300mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet. but what really !!!!ed me off is that the same deal is available to new customers, and I wasnt really offered anything for my 5 year loyalty to them.

having said that, out of all the networks that is the best sim-only deal considering it has unlimited internet included. what do you guys think?

    cheers,
    FG
  • FG: I'd stay put and wait for the new year. If you're happy with your E71 - I'm sure come Jan you'll be able to stay on your tarriff, but get a phone upgrade to flog on ebay for 200 quid - that works out more than the 120 quid saving you would get from a fiver a month over 24 months and is cash in your pocket now...
  • Is this is a good deal?

e63 with 75 mins unlimited texts and unlimited internet.
