I am on mix and match 1100 for £20 per month. I called 3 to query and they told me my upgrade is due November 27, and that my contract ends March 2010. I thought upgrade time was the same as contract end time. Can anyone clarify? Also when would be best to get the best deal, November 2009 or March 2010?QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0

You can upgrade after 15 months of an eighteen month contract. The best time to upgrade is in the final month of your contract AFTER you've given 30 days notice to end the contract (not just asked for your PAC code). If you don't get the deal you were hoping for you can withdraw your notice within the 30 days and continue on the contract you're on at the moment.0 -
thanks so much BBM. so does that mean that if I upgrade in November, I am effectively renewing the contract? So better to wait and give notice in February?
I just called them and apparently I only use approx 400 minutes every month. quite wasteful if I am paying the full £20 each month.QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0 -

Yes-any contract to which you agree will begin from the date you accept it.
(Don't necessarily believe that you use what they say you do-check your statement and decide how many minutes you need.)
Also, when your upgrade is due it's worth checking 'My 3' online as there are sometimes deals there that you can't get on the 'phone.0 -
Finally gave up with three
Phoned the Vodaphone "poaching other companies" business hotline
08080 044423
Got a E71 free
700 x-network minutes
250 texts
Unlimited internet
Unlimited calls to land lines
£19.70 a month!
told three to shove it where the sun dont shine! no wonder they only have 8% market share!!!0 -
Sounds similar to this one. How long is the contract? And is that price for the entire length? Thanks.
Contract is 18 months -even on an 18 month contract three wanted TWENTY NINE POUNDS for the phone cheeky sods!
With Vodaphone I'm getting it for free, I then get the option to upgrade again after 15 months.
Yes- that link where I got the number from - the sales people on the end of the phone are obviously out to poach customers from other networks.
Phone up ready with you PAC code, and push for more and more minutes to see how far you can push them - I didnt really try that hard, the phone was free from the start, she reduced it to 20 quid a month very quickly, and very quickly gave me all the minutes, and free calls and free internet - not much haggling really!
Just hope the Vodaphone coverage is good!
Phone 08080 044423 with your PAC code handy and see how you get on!!! let us know what you manage to get!!0 -
called up 3 to find out when my contract ends (of cause i knew when it will end, in 3 months time).. the lady asks why i'm asking this and i said i was planning on cancelling. she then asks for my reasons and i told her that i can find better deals else where..
all of a sudden she offers me 75mins, 3000 txts, 2000min 3 to 3, 1GB internet and a free lg ku990i for £14.xx a month, 18 month contract. it sounded great so i accepted.. but was that the right thing to do? :S0 -
How can we tell you unless we know whether you do indeed send thousands of text messages and call hardly anyone else except those on Three phones?Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0
