PS whiteknight..have a look at Virgin. Personally, I'm now on a month by month rolling Sim Only contract. £25 pm, 700 mins, unlimited texts and unlimited data...

AS it happens a friend was telling me about the deals with Virgin yesterday and have been taking a look at the site. I think however I am going to wait until I get confirmation that 3 are not going to pull some scam regarding the phone that was sent back.

I had 5 more days until the PAC code expires on one contract and I called to cancel my second contract too.
They gave me Nokia E71, 300 minutes, unlimited to 3, and unlimited Internet for £14.60. Under £30 for both our phones is pretty much my maximum budget for mobile phones for our family :) on other network I could get only one contract with this sort of money.
It seems pretty good to me, so I said yes.
I asked for the operators name and I written the time of call and everithing, how can I check to be sure that I not get a bigger bill than what I agreed on the phone?

Go to the Online chat and say youre interested in the m&m 700 and if there is a promotional code on this handset for a further discount off the monthly amount ~if they give you one thenpost here :-)

I used the code in my upgrade for this

I've been with 3 for years, but have been tempted to switch because I don't really like dealing with the customer services although I've had no specific problems.

So i phoned to cancel my contract, and was duly offered the E71, MandM 300 etc and internet max for £15. I wasn't hugely impressed, so continued to cancel. After several holds, I was eventually offered the Mix and Match 500 for £15.39. I figured that was pretty decent so accepted.

My phone arrived today and it all looked good, but before I turned it on, I thought it best to check that they're going to honour that deal. They weren't and claimed that it must be £18 a month and that it was a great deal. I got passed around for maybe 40 minutes, with no joy. I've said I will cancel, and that they can collect the phone, as it's still boxed.

I got through to someone who is going to check the phone recordings and get back to me in a couple of days. Not impressed as I still can't use my phone and that they can offer something and then completely change their story . So glad I checked before plugging in my phone.

I guess we'll see what happens....

How have you checked on what price they put you?

    Yeah,
They put me on a higher price plan than we had agreed upon. If this was any other company, I would ask how they thought the could get away with this sort of behaviour!

i had a few offers from them that i've posted but i decided to stay with my current plan 500m 300t £13 and take a nokia e71, going for about 150 up on the bay, which will bring the cost down to about £4.50 or so per month. that'll do me, i've got a couple of phones here to keep me going.
