3 Retention Deals

You need to be in month 15 (or 90 days from the end of the 18 months). They will offer you nothing whatsoever as you are still in your minimum contract period.
Sorry, it is 15 months (how time flies!) and I've had an email : "You’ll be eligible for a free or discounted upgrade on or after 17-Apr-2009. You can choose a new phone and one of our great price plans."0 -

Yes, after month 15 they will offer you an upgrade - but certainly not a retentions deal as you are still in a minimum term contract.0 -

Quite so, as I'm finding out. They'll offer what new customers are offered. And make out its a really good deal because you don't have to be credit checked etc blah blah blah. Best sticking it out until you can actually threaten to cancel.
And quite rightly so too. They are not a charity. Never fails to amuse me that people think they are owed an amazing offer by their network to retain them whilst they are still under minimum contract!0 -

Was reading throw the Carphone Warehouse brochure today and at the back is a bit about what retention deals each operator gives - Amazingly for people on 35 quid or less tariffs, very little is offered by any network except a new phone.
Update on our upgrades, they wouldn't give my wife the same deal as she left 3 for a year before going back to them...although she has spent 6 of the last 7 years with them. Kinda understand that, but the best they offered was 2 quid off line rental (23 instead of 25) with a Sony Ericson c902.
She has given notice - may get summat.0 -

I would not hold your breath trying as the only way they will give you a N96 is by paying at least £145 for the phone based on the tariff your on as I'm now eliligable for an upgrade my tariff is the 1100 mix n max and the best they would offer me for free was a Sony Ericison G502 .0 -

I'm not expecting that.
Just would like to have what new customers are now getting, which is more (unlimited) texts for the same monthly rate.
And a new phone would be nice, as the last one has been repaired 3 times and is falling apart.
That wasn't my original question anyway!0 -
