welsh man that's a great deal

I would have taken it too if they had offered it

but to be honest I am quite tired of 3, i dont like their customer services

i will probably go to O2 or Orange to get discounted broadband at home

My thoughts exactly - now I have to try and get the same deal for my wife as she's alsoout of contract

Internet casual just means pay as you use, at an extortionate £2/mb or something.

So I ended my contract about a fortnight ago, as it was 17 months through. I've just had a call from 3hree and ended up agreeing for them to send me a S-E C905 with an 18 month 500 mix'n'match contract for "£17.69" pm.
He told me it wasn't possible to get my internet thrown in so I'll have to continuing paying £5 pm for 1gb.

    So nearly £23 for 500 mix'n'match and 1gb internet with a sony C905 for 18 months.
My question is; should I go though with this or can I do better?

Any advice will be gratefully received.

Sony C905 is a premium handset, so I think you've done well to get it for free.
They may be able to do a little better on the line rental if you opted for one of their basic handsets. So depends on if you're bothered by the phone.

Add-on's are counted separately as you can remove these from your contract at any point.

You'll be hard pushed to find any deals out there on any network for the same phone and number of minutes with internet for £23. This is the conclusion I came to when comparing their offering to me.

The equivalent for new customers from 3 website would have been £38 with internet.

There's certainly no harm in trying. I've read elsewhere that a chap managed to get it for £50 one off cost for the handset on his existing contract which was £25.

Had it offered to me for £25 inc Internet and all that, but I want it lower. Ringing tomorrow for my PAC code, hopefully the offers will roll in.
  • If some people are being offered the c905 for free on a £17.69 per month then hopefully I might get an N96 for free on my £20 texter contract when I can upgrade from next month.

Need to phone 3 (Oh joy!) as I'm now 12 months through an 18 month contract and am hoping to upgrade.

If they offer me something, is it OK to say I'll think about it and phone them back, as I hate being put on the spot and don't always know what the phone they are offering is like?

Will they then keep a note of what i have been offered, or would I have to go through it all again when i ring back?

You need to be in month 15 (or 90 days from the end of the 18 months). They will offer you nothing whatsoever as you are still in your minimum contract period.
