Grr. Just got off the phone from upgrades again. They won't budge from the £25/month still. not happy. Should I just give it some time and see what happens?

Hello all, my first posting!!! Anyway, my 3 contract is up shortly, I've got a great Nokia N95 8gb & don't want a new handset, just 300 mins & £5 internet..............I'm struggling to get this point over to the call centre...they say I must have a new phone!?!?! Any advice on how to get what I want without major dramas etc etc? Oh, and what would be a fair price? Though 3 reception is poor where I live it defaults to Orange automatically & for free. I think this is (IMHO) generally under-reported! Please give advice! Thanks!

3 won't give you a discount for not taking a phone. I had this out with their retentions dept a year or so ago. 'People kept reporting that their old phones broke half way through the new contract' so they stopped doing it. Yer right lol. Unlike, let me see, EVERY other network.

So, people, should I take the Renoir £25/month deal or wait a bit and see? I'm getting a bit tempted now. I've emailed exec office saying I'm not happy about lack of awareness of quidco, and lack of loyalty discount but don't imagine I'll get anywhere. Should I just wait it out and cancel contract/speak to retentions?

Thanks for the reply, Rev. Does anybody know which current phones sign in to Skype automatically (like the old (?) Skypephones)? Oh, and can I get mix & match 300 mins, a phone & internet for less than £20? Thanks.

You can probably set all skype enabled phones to sign in automatically. I've just had a look on the 3 website and you can get the skype enabled LG viewty free on M&M 300, plus £5 internet = £20/month.
