3 Retention Deals

having been with them nearly 2 years tonight I spoke to three customer services tonight, they offered me 350 mins per month plus 150 text, £5.00 pcm on a twelve months term no new handset,or £10.00 with nokia 6288,
but I still declined their offer and gave them 30 days notice,
will they come back with a better deal i wonder ?

I've only been with them for one year, the original was a cashback contract so wasnt too bothered about keeping it so wanted to cancel it. I had phoned and asked them to cancel, went throught the retentions teams rubbish offers (best they could offer was about £10 p/month without a handset). The about 2 weeks to disconnection date they called with the £18 for 18 months and I accepted (this is without a phone).

no called them again and they also offered my the £5 a month deal, went through to the are you leaving three bit..... they said again, I will get our SALES? dept to call you? is this them just not shifting, as the sales have not called me twice..... how else can I get this super deal.

Just to update you all, I have negotiated a new deal:
300mins/150texts/25video mins/25 picture messages/£5 downloads for £5p/m on a 12month contract, with no handset.

It is also for life, if I want (after 12 months I don't need to renegotiate, it will automatically keep going.) When I hit 60 and still have my same number, I'll be dead chuffed!

12 months @ £20
18 months @ £16

without it was £10 a month i think

I said no cancel. lets see what I can get. whats the best handset they do?

just had a call from 3 as i have called them numerous times now to cancel my contract...there retentions department called and offered me the e65 nokia...with 600mins and 600txt for 15 quid a month for life deal. i snapped off there hands as i was about to get the same deal thru orange but it was gonna work out at 27quid a month....with cashback hassle

I've been with Three for a few years now and my 12 month contract ends on 6th Sept. I called yesterday to ask to cancel and transfer to pay-as-you-go and was offered:
300mins, 150text for £5 per month + £30 credit on a 12 month contract.

Great deal achieved with no haggling whatsoever.
