    Evening All

Having an evening in, watched the artist take off program, and the lottery. Its already 9.30pm here. DH now flicking channels, until the results, unless there is something on Nat. Geographic or History Channel which catches his eye.

Welcome atypicalblonde - we are slightly mad but friendly.
Dorry - congrats on the new job.

To whoever was after Jiffy Bags for ebaying - I think I read £land was good for them.

    Anyone for a drink?

Never had a migraine that last all night and all day with such a vengeance!!!! Any suggestions for getting rid of this headache apart from migralieve and paracetamol (already tried those) will be greatly appreciated, I feel like my head is gonna explode!!! Thanks in anticipation.

Can't remember seeing a competition to win a Tractor in Farmers weekly. At £50k+ doubt it would every happen. Come on Shez, it must be a red one, not a blue one, and certainly not a green one with yellow wheels!

(((hugs))) tattycath only suggestion is to go to bed in a darkened room and let sleep try to ease it. I dont imagine being on here is good for it!

Thanks DonnyGal. Yes I've just been thinking that looking at the screen isn't helping. I think it's predominantly caused by stress, got alot on my mind at the moment. Thanks for your comments and hugs.

  • tattycath my doctor told me to lie down in a cool, dark room when a migraine hit me. Maybe putting a cool cloth across your eyes/forehead might help too. Though you may find that being stressed means it won't lift easily.

donny gal can't join you in a drink as my wine is finished. :o Thoroughly enjoyed it though. :p:D

Been browsing the web and looking at Islay as a possible holiday destination for me, DS and DD this summer. I think we need to get away from things and it looks like it fits the bill. DS and DD have been to quite a few places in central Scotland but none of the islands so this would be a good starting place. Will look into things a bit more tomorrow.

DD wants to go onto YouTube so I'm being kicked off here. Have a good night y'all! xx

I agree with anniebooklover tattycath - put some lavender oil on the cloth if you have any - darkened room is the only thing that works for me if I haven't managed to take a painkiller in time. I did have some success with feverfew but you have to take them everyday. my migraines are creeping up again to about 3 times per month but it used to be as many as that a week and I kept losing the feeling in my little fingers for days after. they diminished when I left exoh .... bit drastic I know but it might work :)

Well, I managed to fillet my Moby, so there is now 8lb of salmon pieces in my freezer and fridge...not bad for £10.
Aston the cat was glued to the spot watching me. :rotfl:

I've also made 2 fruit cake loaves and 2 ginger loaves.

Miss Twit is staying over at a friends, so OH and I were tucked up in bed with our laptops watching NCIS. I think it's about time I got a life.

Padded envelopes are good value at Poundland, was it Joeyemma who was after some?

  • Evening all,

Been doing a friend's accounts for their tax return tonight - thank goodness for Excel. A few more gaps to fill in and we should be fine. Because it's for their business they want to pay me - but I'm not sure how much to ask. Does anyone have any ideas?

Ds1 made the Chipolata casserole tonight from the Good Granny cookbook tonight - he added the optional sweetcorn and it was nice. He insisted on doing it all hmself while I was doing the accounts - dh and ds2 were at a Cub swimming gala.

Got a blouse reduced in Tesco today to £4 - it's quite smart and I'm trying to get some smarter clothes together for the new job. Congrats Dorry on your new job as well - maybe it's that time of year.

Anyway off to bed in a mo - hope you all had a good evening.
