Salmon sounds lovely ! Quite gone off the omelette I told OH I wanted tonight.............lol

Well, just went up to the spare room........hardly room for me what with gift baskets, pressies, stuff for charity shop ect. Went through the drawers, chucked the material that had been lurking in them for don't know how long, plus curtains etc. so now all bagged up ready. Have e mailed lady on freecycle..............hopefully they're what she wants............if not its another load for the charity shop. This rate I'll need a truck !!!
Crikey, opened blanket box up there and found some bedding I''d bought from charity shops (really nice)..........put it all back though. It'll get used the way the boys treat the bedding they've got...............lol
Feeling really chuffed with myself:T (Spare room now looks like bombs hit it and left bin bags and carrier bags everywhere.............lol)

Afternoon - having a slow day because I was ill in the night. Didn't get going till 11.00, but kitchen is cleared (one casserole dish soaking), the crockpot is on (just got to figure what to add to the pork steaks for tonight's dinner - gotta be glutenfree and no rice), and I'm about to start tidying the livingroom and putting away laundry. If I get the diningroom clear this weekend I'll be happy.

Anniebooklover - hope you get your bed sorted!

Just returned from the vets! We saw a different one this time, and I wasn't impressed with her at all! She wanted to book the dog in for an op to remove this ulcer, without consulting the usual vet who sees her regular! We've been given 6 more tablets to cover the next three days £20.76  Go back on Tues to see the original vet and get his opinion before we decide what to do.

Kids will be going to their dads shortly. Not sure what we'll do this a-noon, Fancy a long walk somewhere, but the clouds dont look promising!

    Bye for now

Crazychik- Vets bills always make me go :(

Just been out on an exciting trip to Argos, Staples (for Jiffy bags for ebaying) and the supermarket. Got OH to drive and feel exhausted and the world is spinning. OH wanted burgers for dinner and I wanted lamb, so we have settled on having lamb burgers- I'll put some spicy Moroccan seasoning in them and serve them with a cucumber and yogurt dressing.

I have been fighting the urge to order more makeup from the internet! Having credit card details saved in Paypal is a dangerous thing. I've bought a new organiser so I can actually see what I've got before I go and order more!

At the moment though I'm sitting on the sofa, with a laptop on my knee and watching American Idol Auditions!

    EDITED TO ASK -

A house near me has started putting eggs out for sale but there's no price, just an honesty box. How much is reasonable, do you think? I don't want to take the pee, but I don't want to pay too much either :D

When my chooks aren't laying I pay 75p/6 from a smallholding near me. They're huuuuge (bigger than Tesco's large eggs) and have lovely yellow yolks. However, Angelina, who was on It Pays to Watch this week, says she charges £1/6 and can't supply enough  I think 75p is reasonable - wouldn't pay £1 :D

Shez :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: your dream - I hope Catowen has won a tractor  :T

Whatatwit - your avatar continues to make me :D:D

Edit - after reading catowen's post, remembered that DS's football team won 4-0, so we're still top of the league :j

I just bought half a dozen large free range for £1.45 in Sainsbury's and the organic large were £2.05!!!

I would put £1 in the honesty box, as I think its a fair price, esp as the cost of grain to feed the hens has gone up.

    :D Hi

    tathy--get well soon x

    catowen---no alchol

had a very un os day yesterday, was off work as I had a interview and they offered me the job! :D This is very good news as for the same money, I will only work, 3 days, mon, tues & wed, instead of 5 days, that I have been doing for the past year.

oh took us to nandos to celebrate for tea last night and it was delicious and it really felt like a real treat:D

by only working 3 days this will enable to cook all our meals from scratch and also keep on topp of h.work. I have been spending every weekend run ragged washing, ironing and not really getting any rest, so I am sooooo pleased !

tea--- chicken fajhitas, gucamole and salad

plans for today is oh is looking for a new guitar, so he wants me to go with him (yawn, sounds boring to me?? )

ok, off to read my book before we hit the shops :T

    love dorry xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

tattycath, hope your head is feeling better now xx

Annie - well done to your booklets :T

dorry - WELL DONE on the new job xxx - just thinking of pouring a glass of wine now, to help the dusting go with a swing!!!!

((HUGS)) to anyone ive missed, or who would just like one xx

Well, at first we had a call to say football was on, but then just as i was putting my second pair of socks on (you wouldnt believe how cold your feet get!!!) i had another call to say football was off! Must admit, i was not upset, although DS was disappointed.

So, ive done not a lot so far today. I have done 2 loads of washing, which is hung up all over the house, and the DW is now on. We are all fed and watered, but that is about it. I have done all my clicks, and my plan is to do the dusting before starting on the comp board.

    Should get moving i suppose!!!

    Have a great afternoon,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

TRU - I loved the fairytale. I'm going to email it to my SIS and SIL and, well, all the other wives and mothers I know!

DORRY - congratulations on your new job!

Well, I have done some baking, prepped the veg for tomorrow's roast, done a bit of knitting, surfed on here, put the washing on the airer, strolled to the shop for the paper and to post some letters, tried successfully to scan some photos on my new all-singing-all-dancing machine, had some lovely free soup that was sent as part of a survey and done some housework. I'm going to do a bit of paperwork now and then the grandchidren will be around in about an hour for their birthday pressies. We have leftover stew for dinner so I feel as though the rest of the day is mine apart from clearing up after dinner.

Hope everyone is having a good day and ANNIEBOOKLOVER - hope you get that bed sorted out sooner rather than later.

    See you all later.
