Morning all :hello:
I've been on a training course this week, one of these personal effectiveness things. All about changing your life by changing the way you think. So today, using one of the techniques we went through, I am not going to say "I should be doing the housework" but "I CHOOSE TO do the housework". Except I don't
. Maybe I'll kick myself up the bum later and CHOOSE to get on with it
My fridge-freezer is making funny noises whenever the motor is on. Need to get it looked at, I suppose. It's in the 2nd year of a 2-year warranty, and is already the 2nd one I've had  - it's a Bosch and I chose it cos they're meant to be really reliable :rotfl:
tru - when you say your neighbour has STARTED putting out eggs for sale - was it by any chance since Wednesday? If so, I have a little sneaking suspicion that she's been watching :money: 's new show
Anyway I am still in my jimjams and I probably ought to CHOOSE to go swimming, so better be off. I'll be having a bit of a cookathon this afternoon/evening - just need to pick up a couple of odds and ends on the way home from the gym.
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Morning (just
) everyone
My goodness jetlag is a killer isn't it? Anyway hoping to get back to normal today, except half the day's gone already
Today I will be making my home a bit more presentable :rotfl: and ironing
Tea tonight will be HM pizza, and tomorrow when I get my first shop delivered since Christmas will be baking and making day.
Good luck with the non smoking DLB - I gave up for about 6 months, but started again - I'm thinking about trying again next month.
Anyway better dash
(((((hugs)))))Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

Thanks for the concern PP. I am getting prices for 2008, so I know what prices to expect in 2009 if we are able to go then at the same time of year. Not able to go this year as explained a couple of weeks back. 2009 will be better too as the new HP theme section should be open.
Morning Guys!
Feeling abit better today which is great.
DD is just about to go round her friends house and she wont be back till tomorrow. They were supposed to be going shopping, but her friend doesnt have much money ATM.
WM has been on twice already and DW needs emptying.
Going round friends for dinner later, then we are supposed to be going to a Chef Party. Will take a bottle of wine for the host and see what items they have that arent too expensive.
Hugs to all.

Shez - was it plain or flavoured? I can't stand it plain, but its lovely flavoured with lemon and coriander, or mexican stylee. you could alwas try a packet of ainsleys flavoured stuff, before deciding if you want to do your own.
Off into town shortly as I've people coming round tonight. My other thread generated some great ideas - we're going with the mexican option I think.
Have a good day all

Morning all!
Had a nice lie in this morning -helped by MrS having a snore-free night! Was planning to bum around all morning in our dressing gowns but after a cup of coffee and some crumpets I got a bit restless so I ran the plastic bottles down to the recycling bank. We have a fab set up now - the council pick up the compost bin, paper and cardboard, glass, cans and normal rubbish, and they've put a plastic bottle bank at the bottom of the street. We hardly throw anything in the normal rubbish now!
Going to do my first online shop from Tesco today - MrS is away at the weekend with the car and I can't face doing a shop after work during the week. Off to find some extra points/free delivery vouchers!
Have a good day everyone!0 -
Morning all. Weather is calm and so is our household which makes a change this week.
Our lad wanted a key last night as he said he'd be late...............refused on the grounds of the weeks carryings on.........if not back by 11pm stay at mates. 11.pm I go to bed..............15 mins later phone rings 'can you let me in ?',,,,,,,,,,,I drag myself out of bed and let him in............and girlfriend.........the nice one, not the one he sneaked in the other night ! Seems they've made up now and all is well so I let her have spare bed. OH is snoring away and knows nothing of this.............lol
This morning text from next door neighbour.............her OH kicked off last night (third time) and his Mum had to take him to her house so she asked me not to give him the spare key if he asks for it. Thats ok as I'm more concerned for her and the kids. Then her OH comes back this morning...........raised voices but don't know quite whats going on there. He left before Christmas and just when she got sorted out he came back !!
Our lad and his girlfriend now gone out so and all seems well with them............OH gone to play cards with his mates at the pub....so.....what shall I do now ? Clear out bedroom ? ..............thought for a bit then decided against it. So got the kids paints our my son got me (puffer paints.........lol) and did a card for him just for a laugh.............something quite mindless and easy to do, just what I felt like doing. May get around to the bedroom this afternoon or might start filling in the Memory Book I got from charity shop the other day.
Been a stressful week and it catches up eventually.........don;t want to plough into our bedroom and end up chucking things out because I'm not thinking straight.......................lol
Have a good day all of you:j and hugs ((((((((:o ))))))) to all who need themMary

Thanks Crazychik :T
Bargain Rzl, they've been doing it for a while, I only found out about it because master tru told me the other day. I said 'oh we'll get our eggs from there then' and he said 'they've been there for ages, I thought you knew'
I've just had this email from my SIL -
The world's shortest fairytaleOnce upon a time, a girl asked a guy: 'Will you marry me?'
The guy said: 'No' and the girl lived happily ever after and went shopping, drank martinis with friends, always had a clean house, never had to cook or deal with children, had a closet full of shoes and handbags, stayed skinny, and was never farted on.The End:rotfl:Bulletproof0 -
   The bed has been delivered but the 16 slats that make up the base of the bed are missing!   Phoned TescoDirect 45 mins ago and they said they would check with the manufacturers if the slats can be sent to me rather than me having to pack the bed up again, have it collected and replaced. Still waiting for the phone call that I was promised would take place within 15-20 mins. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH! It is sooo frustrating. I just want to get my upstairs back into some semblance of order.
tru loved the shortest fairytale. :rotfl:
mary43 I think you need to give yourself some serious "me" time after the week you have had. Please treat yourself.
shez I agree with metherer. Ainsley Harriot's cous cous is good. We like the Spice Sensation one. Maybe you could give that a try. On its own cous cous is very bland so you really need something else to spice it up.
Well, since I won't be bed building today, I may as well get the ironing board out. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Tru.................love the fairy tale.....................lol
Annie............I will have some 'me' time, you can count on it...........but just to sput me on, just had a freecycle e mail through...........someones looking for pieces of material, large or small for craft project..............just the thing to spur me on and put all the bits of curtaining and odd and sods I bought on a whim and they just take up space in the spare room............so......I'm off to delve and see what I've got. I've e mailed her and hope they'll do for what she's wanting...........................lol
It's still classed as 'me' time.............cos there's only me here and I actually 'want' to do it !!:jMary

Afternoon,
Tru, I get eggs from a garden gate and I pay 75p for 6. There is a little honesty pot, but also a sign with the price. I return all my empty egg boxes for him to re-use. Although with how much eggs have increased in price, I feel this is now a bargain and may well start to leave a bit more. I know his birds are free range, as I see them wandering all over his garden.
I have taken and collected Miss Twit from hockey this morning, it's fine here and feels quite mild. She is currently getting ready to go and spend the night at her friends, not sure yet if she is getting the bus, or will want a lift.
Mr Twit and I started to clear out the kitchen yesterday, he tends to use it as his tool and junk store, so I may see if he feels like continuing operation shift it!
Mum and dad are in Spain at the moment..Costa Almeria...and they seem to be having the sun. Boo Hiss.
Jobs for later include sorting out the Moby Salmon that's residing in the bottom of the fridge in a black bin bag. Our nice neighbour came and asked if we wanted a salmon, his BIL had brought him one, but as he lives alone, he offered it to us for £10 and it's HUGE
