    morning to you all!

    welcome to atypicalblonde:T

Jockett - great to see you back - you've done so well with the diet - keep it up!:j

tattycath - hope the head's soon better!

got 3 days off now:j need to do some serious moneysaving as we're skint again! storecupboard challenge for me I think!;)
Got to go and pick up DS1 from Bromsgrove in a bit as he's coming home for the weekend along with a bag of washing and to have his cupboards restocked!
Have a great weekend all, back later xxx
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • Morning all

    ATB welcome:hello: .

Hugs to all who feel rotten.

Am off to bed in a minute. Work was busy but ok, not as manic as the night before. OH has taken DS up to London today to the Imperial War Museum so I have the whole house to myself:j . Intend to tidy up when I get up, also I must look out my timer switches for DW and WM.

Catch you later, have a good day all:A xxxx
  • Good morning everyone

donny gal, meanmarie (like the "bookletlovers bit :D )and redruby thank you for your good wishes re DS and DD. They are both working hard at school at the moment so they have every right to be proud of themselves - as am I!
tattycath hope the migraine doesn't develop any further and it clears soon.
jockett well done on that fabulous weightloss.
atypicalblone Hi and welcome. We're a friendly bunch here so I hope you'll stay.
PenPen Hope you don't pick up that Chinese cold. Interested to see what you will be posting later. ;)

I'm up early and I don't know why. Had a great sleep though so feel quite good. Need to get DS up soon as his bed will be delivered this morning and he needs to make space for it.

Living room looks like a bomb has hit it so when I am finished on here (and who knows when that will be? :D ) I will blitz it. WM and BM are on. Dark uniforms are washed and drying on the airer. Whites are in the WM now. Once bed has been delivered and assembled, I will get the ironing board out (yuk!).

DS wants to go into town to buy a lamp for his fabby new room. I'm trying to avoid the shops as I don't get paid till next Friday. Maybe a compromise will be reached.

Dinner tonight will be a rubber chicken that I have great plans for. Last chicken I cooked I managed to get two nights roast dinners for three (DS, DD and me), a huge pie that lasted two nights, a curry that did one nights dinner and one lunch and a big pot of stock. :j I can see a repeat performance.

Hope you all have a super Saturday. xx

    Good morning everyone,

Horrible and grey here, and although it has obviously been raining all night, we still havnt had a call to say football has been cancelled. We are meeting at the leisure centre at 10.30, so there is still time, but i know the other team are wanting to play, so im not holding out much hope.

So thats our day planned, the WM is nearly finished, and i have dusting and hoovering to do later when we get home. Lunch for me is left overs from Thursdays dinner (fish and veg) and dinner will be toad in the hole with more veggies.

I weighed myself last night, and although my consultant has said i look ok, so dont need to lose weight, i was horrified to see how heavy i was (into overweight for my height) so Monday, i will be aiming to lose about a stone - wont be trying for my pre steroid weight - like i said my consultant thinks a bit of extra weight is good for my hormone levels, which we think are good for my platelet levels - but i def need to lose something, or none of my summer clothes will fit me!!! Not starting today, as being OS i need to use up the leftovers (children wont eat whats left) and i did open my last bottle of wine last night, so although im thinking of freezing some of it, there is too much left at the moment, so it would be wrong to waste it!! Alcohol will def be off the menu for the next few months. So, diet will start on Monday.

OK, better get busy, still no phone call so loads to do before we go off to stand in a very muddy, cold field!!!

((HUGS)) to anyone who wants/needs one,
    Have a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Good morning everyone,

I haven't posted all week, I've been too tired when I've arrived home from work. I think there was some sort of virus going round - it was like having sleeping sickness :D

I have migraines too. I get zig zag lines across my eyes. I've found that the only way to cope is to take some migralieve then keep my eyes tight shut until the zig zag lines go away (usually about 20 minutes).

Just trying to think of somewhere to go today with a small child who doesn't like the rain. I really need some exercise myself as I'm trying to lose weight (OS way of course).

    Take care all of you.

    Morning all :hello:

Master and mr tru have gone to work, miss tru is working 11am-3pm so I have some peace today :D

Completely blew my budget for the january grocery challenge :o , we spent £45 at the butcher's. Oh well, won't have to buy meat next month so it should balance out.

We bought all the seeds, onion sets and seed potatoes yesterday, trouble is I can't do anything with them yet, stupid weather  I'm going to sort out the house plants today, give them a trim and add new compost.

Master tru has saved all his dirty washing for a week  so it's looks like the machine is going to be busy today :D

    EDITED TO ASK -

A house near me has started putting eggs out for sale but there's no price, just an honesty box. How much is reasonable, do you think? I don't want to take the pee, but I don't want to pay too much either :D

    Morning all,
The weather here looks a bit brighter and i can actually see some blue sky in between the grey bits.
The dw etc have already been emptied and i shall be giving the kitchen a quick once over when i`ve had my next cuppa and then i need to do a freezer inventory and shopping list.
I`ll be at w**k later so need to get a move on soon.
My menu plan has been updated as next weeks shifts have changed but that shouldn`t be a problem as i`m sure there are some nice surprises lurking at the back of the freezer.:D

Tattycath - hope your migraine calms down soon.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Good morning all

tru - how much do you normally pay for half a dozen eggs, could you work out a price around that? and perhaps knock 10p or something off!

Had a rough night sleep. DD came back from her dads crying & complaining of head ache again. She kept getting up through the night feeling sick, then at 8am, she decided to throw up.

Cousins arrived y-day, nice to see them and catch up. Got all wk end for fun & games (kids will be at their dads today till sun pm) so it may be another late one tonight playing on the nintendo wii, after our meal out.

Slowly catching up with the washing
Housework all done, shopping got done last night.
Dog is back at the vets today! Her eye is looking red & the ulcer is still noticable. Fingers crossed for her.

    Best be off
    Have a great week end.
    Love Emma xxx
