And do the rest of us need to know this?? I am assuming that the poster you PM'ed has a pop up box like the rest of us that will tell her that a PM has arrived.

This is all terribly childish and I should advise that I have reported this thread. I, and others on MSE, are very unhappy with monetary donations being given to another member of MSE, both openly and now rather obviously behind PM's now that another MSE'er has mentioned it on my thread. This is even more worrying when you consider that this is the debt free wanabee board - a place where people with debt come for help and advice - but not financial assistance. I personally feel that this is setting a dangerous precedent that could be open to abuse.

On the subject of my thread being closed, I was really pleased to see that MSE Andrea clearly thought the thread had merit and decided, as a one off, to close the thread to further postings, but not to delete it. This is so I could copy and paste into a new thread, if I chose to do so. I decided that there was little point as the attitude from other MSE'ers clearly showed that MOT would come up again as there was a lot of feeling regarding the situation. Of course, should anyone choose to do so, they can always come on here to discuss further, as suggested by MSE Andrea.

and do you need to be here?

Well technically this may not be true, because if MoT's wins the Post of the Month, then I believe she will get £50.00, apart from that, NO no money is being given via MSE.

I have no interest in discussing social housing etc. at this moment in time, my post is solely in relation to the financial donations. If I can be reassured that this is quite categorically not happening and no money is being given via MSE, then I will happily leave this thread. My concern is and will always be (for the third time), about people giving money to a stranger on a forum that is designed to save money.

    Viktory,

I can categorically say that I have not donated any monies to MOT or anyone else as a result of this thread.

My concern is that you seem to think that you can challenge other peoples principles.... almost everyone on the 2/3 threads that started 5 months ago has been supportive of MOT.

Everyone that has been supportive has done so willingly and in the main remotely.

Some have given hands on, local support (D&T without even conributing to this forum), I only wish i could.

If you think these people are being taken advantage of then fine... but don't worry for them... I am sure they can look after themselves.

The imporatnt thing here is that MOT has support and is able to get back on her own two feet after a catalogue of "cats @rse trophies"!!!!

MOT, IT, twins, D&T, Pania, Ampersand et al.... just wish i could lend a hand tomorrow!!!

Take care (especially of It's bad back!!!!).

You can be so reassured, upon my honour, so kindly leave the Thread 'happily', as you have pledged, and do not comment on posts made to me - I will do that, if I see fit.
I'm sure your contributions to other Threads, from 'the bosom of my family' are likely to be appreciated.

So to clarify, you are saying that no one on MSE is giving money to a person on an Internet Forum (ie MOT or her supporters) or anyone else that will pass the money to MOT or a prospective landlord, and the PM's that are and have been sent are not for monetary donations?

Just wanted to clarify that I have not suggested that anyone is sending money to Martin Lewis or MSE itself to pass on to anyone. My suggestion is that MSE is being used as a medium for these transactions.

So if you can confirm that, I will check past posts and PM's and assuming I find no references, oblique or otherwise to monetary donations, I will leave this thread happily.
