  • Hi everyone

I am supposed to go to court on the 5th Sept, I am 80% through my court bundle preparation ready to post on Monday, and this morning I had the depressing letter from DG Solicitors saying they will be requesting a stay. What a pain.

Is it worth me carrying on working on the court bundle? I am struggling with the thing anyway and am feeling more and more out of my depth.

    Thanks everyone

So happy for you all! Good luck girls - you deserve it after all the stress.

I love this forum and can't possibly manage without the morale boosting comments and genuine support for each other.

For those of us who haven't had anything back lets see if the FSA will remove the waiver at the end of September as its to the detriment of customers.

I mentioned in another post that a mouthy little bank bird has squeeked that her bank is still getting dozens of claims letters per week and that privately and on a local level they are a tad worried about the back log. They beleived the test case would put peope off for the near future only it hasn't. Informally they have been discussing dealing with those claims currently in the system and freezing any news just to keep on top of the deluge. Hearsay .. I know.. but we can live in hope!

Keep on fighting - write to our MP's, pester the banks, sign any number of petitions and maybe we can all party before Xmas.

    Good luck!

    Too Right DirtyCash!
I have already signed the petition and wrote to my local MP, stating how unfair bank charges are as well as i think they should have completed all claims that were they & not to be frozen! EVERYONE must do this, let them hear US the CONSUMERS, in numbers we have the POWER!!!

Its been the longest three months..... success is nearly insight:T ....... Money in account
  • Trace I can't believe you got yours too!!!

My God I'll bet you're still jumping up and down!!

DirtyCash is right, everyone must keep on hassling the banks, something's gotta give - they can't go on getting away with it.

If I was just starting out, the test case hold wouldn't stop me from going for it - I think us lucky ones are testimony to the fact that bank charges are wrong ....and the banks know it!

Well done again Trace, hiya Lou - it's time to celebrate!!!!

I'm having a chinese tonight - haven't had one in ages!!!!!

ok so i sent my letter special delivery on the 17th of july asking for my bank statements.so i was expecting them on the end of the month but they insist it was put on the system on the 1st of august so that is when they have 40 days from.
    my question is ..
what day does the 40days start from? when they recieve the letter and its signed for or when they can be bothered to put it on the system?
  • Congrats to all you in the money Saturday gals (and Guys)!!!!!!!!!
No such luck for me just yet...but watch this space!
  • Welcome to the hell that is claiming HSBC. You haven't seen anything yet my friend. All part of their stalling/bullying tactics...keep on at them!
  • Oh, and the 40 days starts from when they receive the request...not when they see fit to deal with it.

Just a tip - if you have HSBC internet banking, you can download all your statements of the last 6 years quickly and for free from there.
