    Hi everyone,

I've been claiming my charges back and i sent my letter back saying i accept the full amount! however they sent me another letter asking me exactly the same thing, in light of the court case with the OFT. Any way during this period before i recieved the second letter i asked to see if they had recieved it and i was assured that they had and the money would be in my account two weeks later! Nope! instead i got the second letter mentioned above.
Ive just had a look at my statement and they charging me £50.00 for being overdrawn!!! I did ring up and arrange an over draft facility and they charged £25! surely this isnt right! If they paid me my money i wouldnt have been overdrawn!!!
But the source of the problem is with mobile connections, as they haven't been paying my cash back!!! For 3 months!!! So my funds are in desperate need of sorting out, as i only work part time!!!

Im just having a moan but i work in retail and i cant believe the kind of customer service i recieve, maybe its me, or maybe its the rest of the world. Whatever happened to manners and logic!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i dont really know where i stand. Can I claim the £50 back? should i do it in writing? should i call up and throw a tantrum?

    Cheers JP

can anyone help me with this one?

    cheers

    Hi Ya

Not sure either, they have always charged me anything from between £25 and £150 a month:eek: , butttttttttt this month they only charged me £25.00 when i had been overdrawn several times , so not sure where their logic is.

I think i have their terms somewhere and shall try and dig them out for you tomorrow and see if i can shed some light on the matter.

Thats HSBC for you. Id ring them every day to get it sorted, but I know that ringing them is really hard - I cant understand them half the time, or hear them since its always a bad line. If thats the case for you go to your local branch, at least twice a week till its sorted. Id say every day but if you go too much you might get arrested! LOL

Hiya Lou how are you doing?

Yeah I'm really hoping now that they'll let me have my money early too!

Can't wait to get rid of HSBC for good now. :j :j

It's funny, been with them for 15 years almost, and it's only been this year that I've considered changing banks.

Oh well, won't be able to resist checking in here still - it's become a new way of life!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Have a good weekend all!

Well HSBC have been complete idiots with me.

They finally sent me an offer letter on 3rd July and because I was in hospital I replied and sent it on 7/7/07 accepting both (I have two accounts and two lots of bnk charges)

They received one reply but not the others (lady on phone confirmed one came 10.07.07)

Rang them about 6 times over three days and was told they were sending a replacement offer letter.

I received that at beginning of Aug and sent it recorded delivery the same day.

On this Thursday I recvd a letter saying they were offering me a refund on charges I had asked them. I have replied stating this was the 3rd time I had sent it back and gave electronic proof from royal mail of delivery.

    They are just sh*ts
  • Hey guys I can't believe it but I just checked my bank account online and £1968.38 refunded bank charges has been credited just 3 days after they'd received my second acceptance letter!! :j  :T :rotfl:

I must admit Bingobella that my hopes were raised when I heard you got yours yesterday - but I really didn't think it'd be credited on a Saturday!!  :j

I've said it before, but all of the support and advice I've read from everyone on here really has helped. It's been so good to know that there were plenty of others out there Self Combusting and not just me!! :T :A :T :A :T

To everyone still waiting, keep with it and don't lose faith, I'm sure you'll all get your refunds in the end.

Will still keep checking in cos this forum is part of my daily life now.....what will we all do when it's finished??

Thanks guys, have a good weekend!!
