  • stalling tactics...

Still no credit to my account - 2 hours and 12 minutes before I issue a warrant! I have tried to help the bank out, I have emailed them copies of the judgement (which they deny having from the court) and I have also phoned to let them know. On the phone they said they hadn't had it and wouldn't be paying and I have had 2 separate emails now to the ones I sent, one said 'contact our legal team' and gave me a number that went to voicemail and told me to write in and the other email said that they couldn't help me as I hadn't provided enough information (I had!) I have also had some messages through internet banking to tell me about the test case and that all claims are now on hold for at least a year.

Do they think I came up the M1 on a doughnut?? Of course I have heard of the test case and yes I know that they are being sneaky underhanded so and so's to try and out people off and intimidate them into just going away...but I have a court judgement for goodness sake!! Does the law mean nothing in this country anymore??

I will check my account again at 4pm and then it's off the the county court first thing tomorrow for a warrant. My local court have advised that they are taking a dim view of this and will not consider a stay in the warrant.

This is just HSBC prolonging it and making it difficult - they're just incurring more costs for themselves in the long run though. Idiots.
  • Oh, and I had a loan with them a few years ago and they told me I had to take PP - he he, I'm going after them for that now too!!

Yeah you go for the PPI!! I've sent off my letters to IGroup, GE Capital, & YES car credit for old loans I had with them to claim back PPIs. I think money lenders, banks etc have really got to change their practices, with all this consumer power going on!!
    Fingers crossed for ya

    Hi There Lou
    How ya doing Brighton Bird?!
Well, HSBC received the letter from the FO 7th Aug, so I guess it's 6 wks from then - 18th Sept!! Gonna do more than self combust before then, gonna blow a big gasket! :rotfl: I live in hope that it might be 2 wks like everyone else but knowing them they'll take the full allotted time, and i bet then some! I have visions of me complaining to the FO that i haven't had my money!! I've took now to checking every day :rotfl: :rotfl: you know, you've been there!!
Wonder if Palerie- Head has had any joy?!
I now have another long road of reclaiming PPI from old paid off loans, wonder if I can get any more money? It wont be much, but every little helps!
    See Ya

1st Response 6th June 2007 we are looking into the matters

Decided to wait the 8 weeks as the banks were paying up at that time.

Emailed them on 17th July to say where’s my money.

Reply 18th July to say we are still dealing with it.

Went on holiday at this time thought I would have an offer letter waiting for me when I got back.

26th July returned from holidays to find nothing, and heard about the Test Case and thought it was all over.

Checked internet banking to find a message there waiting for me to say why hadn’t I returned the acceptance to the £2500.20 that they have offered me on 21st July.

<O:p</O:pReplied saying I hadn’t received the offer letter, HSBC blamed Royal Mail.

6th August went into the branch and asked them to print a copy of the offer letter.

7th August offer letter signed and faxed back.

8th August email to say I have to sign a new acceptance letter with the terms referring to the “Test Case”

13th August still no 2nd acceptance received, went to the branch again and asked them to print it out.

14th August 2nd acceptance letter signed and faxed back – you should get your money in 14 days (28th August).

16th August low and behold £2500.20 sat in my bank account 2 days after 2nd acceptance letter was sent, Thank You HSBC. :j :j :j :j

I want to say a big thank you to Martin :money: and all other posters :T Everything was of great help and I cannot thank you enough for sharing all your experiences
