Unfortunately, you are one of the unlucky ones, & it is correct that they have 8 wks, but all new cases are frozen. They bank has a copy of your complaint, so you have done the right thing. You may want to, to be sure, go thru the MCOL (up to you) but nothing will be sorted until have the test case.
Hope you eventually get your money back!

    Hi to all
    Trace x

Wow Trace that is good news, another hundred quid!! It's so nice to know that after months of being skint, money is finally coming our way - but I really do feel for those guys whose claims are put on hold, I'm sure they'll get there in then end.

New sofas arriving tomorrow and I'm sooo excited :j :j :j !!!!! They've been needed for so long, I can't wait to skip these bloody uncomfortable things I'm sitting on right now!!

    And summer seems to have finally arrived :T :T :T :T ........

After problems and claiming off HSBC I moved to Halifax one small error resulte in ovr a hundred pounds of charges in a day!!!! left them went to alliance and liecester. been very very careful with them as i never want another charge again, However if you use online banking A&L are a nightmare. debit car payment can take days to show up. online payments out of th account can take upto 3 days to show up. the balance available doesnt reflect either of these situations correctly. if your wages are payed in you better not pay out of the account till the following day as they take out your spending befor they credit your wages. this means you could get over your overdraft limit very easily. much as i hate HSBC at least there online system seems to work.
claimed/settled - Natwest £2,535/£2,535, HSBC visa £80/£80, MBNA £1,258/£1,258, capital one £282/£282, tesco visa £515/£515, HSBC visa £140/£140. HSBC £1,450 MCOL Stayed for OFT case. Chelsea Mortgage charges & cashback £5000/£672. complaints with banks pending OFT Halifax £30, A&L £35. TOTALS £11,325/£5482
