got an offer which I returned signed to the local branch, the letter was scanned on the system on 31st July, they've told me to wait for 14 days, what's the earliest somebody has received the cash in their account, I've got the feeling i'll get it on the 14th day.
Need the money asap for my holidays which start at 4pm:j :j0 -

Hmmmm they aren't too quick! I think the quickest has been around 10 days but most commonly around the 12/13 day mark - it's unlikely to go in much quicker than that I think.....
Have a good holiday though!!0 -

Hi Poptart
As the banks are now having this test case, everything will be put on hold til after the hearing. You should hear from the bank to let you know this. As you have already started your claim this should be logged with them and then dealt with after the test case. You could proceed to the courts for a hearing but whether this will be heard all depends on how things go with the test case, as far as i am aware hearings are at present still going ahead. I would definately write to them and take copy to confirm that you still wish to proceed with your charges as and when the test case has been concluded.

hello all,
ive been a member of the site for a while bu im just starting to reclaim my charges. Ive been reading the site but theres so much to take in, i was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions for me.
would it effect my case that ive checked all of my charges from the last 6 years online through my internet banking account and not by requesting them from the bank?
am i more likely to get a refund if i dont claim the intrest which ive calculated at £180?
Would i just use the 8 Canada Square, London address to send my first letter to?
any info would be much appreciated!
many thanks :T

Hi there,
I got all of my charges from my online statements for both accounts that I have successfully claimed on and there were no problems so go ahead!!
I also tried claiming interest, however you can only really be awarded interest if your case goes to court and you win, so although I cheekily asked for interest, they settled my claims without interest.
I sent my first letter via recorded delivery to my branch, but then through this forum found the address for the HSBC Service Centre in Leeds
HSBC Bank plc,
Service Management - CPT,
Arlington Business Centre,
Millshaw Park Lane,
Leeds. LS11 0PP
and sent any further letters there. Do send your letters via either Recorded or Special Delivery as then you can make sure they've received it!
Hope this all helps! Good luck with your claim!!0 -
