OMG!! It's just like the old days!!!!
Trace, I cannot tell you how pleased I am for you - you have really been thru it and deserved to have your money back!! Well done I bet you can't believe it!!!!
Hope you had a great holiday too!!
If you're anything like me you've been walking around with a grin on your face all day!!
Just feel so bad for those who've had their cases frozen - it's so unfair. I think they should've finished processing claims already in the system but held any new claims until a decision has been made......0 -
The party is at yours then Trace, well done :j0

Cheers everyone
Congrats to you too Jollygiantswife!
Lou, definately let me know where to send to Voddy to!!
Sam, I really feel for you, yours being frozen, I'll never forget the feeling when I thought it was no
Edinburghlass - I'll party like it's 1999 when I get my money!!! I presume from what I've read, once the offer's on the table then they have to pay up. Before all this with the OFT I decided that stuff em, I was going to ask for it with interest, but not now, I'm happy :j
Well, once i've paid everything I owe I should be left with about £5K, yippee!! .......new bathroom, and seeing my sis next yr, who I've never seen in her country, & only seen her twice over here in the last 30 yrs :T :T
So guys, you're going to help me to not self combust over the next 6 wks or so - ha ha - can't believe that comment I made stuck :rotfl:

Hi,
Reading these letters make me feel happy and sad we applied after waiting 78days for statements to come through and are a week away from being 8weeks and feeling very depressed at the moment as obviously been put on hold but what is more depressing is they are still charging me for going about £11.00 over this week I have been charged £145.00 which was part of my mortgage payment phoned the Abbey to ask if I could please have my money back and was basically told to go and take a run and jump.If anybody is in same boat please email.Nik0 -

Hi there,
Do you know that's the thing that makes me pig sick about banks.
I, like I'm sure many others on here, have been in the same situation as you and it is so depressing.
I can't give you any real advice, but when we were in your situation earlier this year, the only thing we could do was just be honest with the people we needed to pay but couldn't afford to pay - it's a s****y situation but it was a relief when some of these creditors were actually nice about it and tried to help.
The banks don't seem to understand that they are forcing us into a vicious circle. The amount of times I used to phone up and say 'please just let us off for one month because then we can get straight again' and some call centre person in India who is difficult to understand and is so far removed from you just says 'Sorry Mrs ***** it is not possible to do this....' There were times I did actually cry on the phone to them we were so desperate...
But hey it can't go on forever, something will come up and we are all here to stop you from Self Combusting anytime! So don't let the b******s get you down!!0 -
Because i had never received any of the offer letters the "Claimed" they sent out (the first being on the 29th June) and then 2 more after that. I went down to my local branch got them to print out the letter and fax it and post it over to them.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Now that was on the 20th July and now today will be 14 days and yet i have no money. I have just got of the phone to them (listening to that music so much on hold i think i could write and play it myself now) and they said that 1, because there is an increase in the number of offer letters being sent in it may take a little longer and 2, because i got the letter printed out and it was not in the "correct format" like the posted version it will delay the process a little. this is unfair as i literally got my "first" offer letter last night through the post and it was dated the 24th July strangely enough.<o:p></o:p>

Hi All
Hows you Sam, not used to you being so quite, have you had a read of dirty cash message just above, maybe worth a shot.
Dirty cash think its worth a go at least if you don t try then you ll never know, it must be so frustrating to have come so far then this.
Nicolamidgley is there anyway you could open another account for the time being so that any monies paid into your account aren t swallowed up by charges, this way you can still have your wages/ benefits etc and pay a small amount into your current account to clear the arrears.
Suns shining here today off out for lunch at pub in min as its my BIRTHDAY, shall catch up with you all later after a few vodkas.

Hang on in there! I think the way banks treat their customers is absolutely diabolical, if i treated my customers like they do, I'd have none left. Thing is we would all vote with our feet, but who do you go to??? They all have huge charges & none treat you any better! I have been in debt, huge debt at one time & know how these charges just make our situation worse, its a never ending cycle.
Hope you get sorted soon

so has anyone else had this problem from them?[/quote]
Hi There,
I was on holiday when my 8 weeks was up so i politley emailed them to say where was my offer letter and they said they had posted it on 21st July so I thought to myself give it a week for the letter to come.
Today still no offer letter however i have been told via email that i have got an offer of 90% of my claim being £2500.20.
Ive rang them twice and emailed and they just keep telling me its because of royal mail being on strike im sorry but they havn`t been on strike for nearly two weeks bull**** anyway don`t know what to do i desperatly need the money now as they have stopped all my direct debits from going out of my account putting me furthur in the poo.
Again I just think that they are delaying things and making people really annoyed by doing so.
Hopefully you will get the money paid in tonight at midnight no doubt, let us know the outcome.
Cheers Bingobella xx0
