Hey well done Bingobella you must be well chuffed!! I know that it can take up to a week for the letters to come through, plus there's been a postal strike but at least another one is on the way!!
You can start dreaming about what to do with it all now!! It'll take up to 14 days for it to reach your account though some are a liitle luckier and get it around 10-11 days (Show_Me_The_Money was on the same timescale as me and she got hers today whilst I'm still waiting!!  ).
Welld one again and let us all know how it goes!!0 -

Hi Nicky and Lou, youre right, i am so glad i sent it off special delivery now. Hubby said to leave it a few days and there was no rush!!!!!!
Little did we all know what was about to come about last thursday. He is really happy that they hit the account this morning, he has given me a few hundred to treat myself (bless), as he said i was the one who did all the work and sending the letters etc. He just signed it!!
i was such a great feeling this morning phoning people and paying some bills, what a relief. I really feel for those who are still waiting, as we know, its such a pain un the rear posture.......... i will be able to sleep more easily now, as i know the bills are sorted.
I havent seen Tillybella around recently, i hope shes ok.

Just wanted to share this with you all.
When i was waiting for my money to come through (all 14days aaahhh) i had a few small direct debits of between £11 and £20 come out and then their charges of £100 from previous month this made be overdrawn again on about five occasions, so as i ve said on previous posts was expecting to get charged around £150 this month.
BUT
To my astonishment they havent!! only charged me £25.00
WHY i have no idea, every month i ve had charges from between £50 upto £150.00 due to their charges making me overdrawn, now when i have finally been paid out they are not charging me. Their really is no reasoning with their system.
Lou x
morning Sam where you been! Hope you are ok
Lou hun, they did this to my hubby, they have suddenly dropped all the charges. I remember there used to be a clause that if it was bank charges that took you over your overdraft they couldnt charge you for it. Is this still the case????? Knowing the banks they have latched into this and flippin' changed that too!

I am due in Court on 7 Aug 07. HSBC never complied with a Court Order asking them to provide documents to the Court and myself by 11 June 2007. Several emails to good old Kate Eaves at HSBC have been ignored since. I will be submitting these also to the Court. I am going to ring the Court on Monday to find out if this case will still be going ahead. I will let you know their views and the outcome!!!!
I telephoned the Court and yes, everything is going ahead as normal.0 -

First time poster/long time reader here(!)
I have two quick and probably simple Qs:
1. I have been given a court date of 14 Sep - is this likely now to go ahead or should I call the Court?
2. Assuming it goes ahead, how long do I have to submit a file on the case to the court and HSBC?
Many thanks in advance

I have calculated all my bank charges for the the last 6 years with HSBC. I wrote to the bank about 6 weeks ago claiming my charges.
They wrote back to me about 3 weeks 'saying they were investigating'
I wrote and threatened legal action and it is now time (the period of notice give was 14 days) for me to register my claim in court. The amount is nearly £1500. Should I go and register this claim in Court ? my concern is that most of the charges are 6 years ago and if the test case takes a year, then the amount I am claiming falls considerably as the period range of the claim?0 -
If most of your charges are just within the 6 year period, then you should definitely get your claim in the system now.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0
