If they ask you to sign something that says you are accepting in full and final payment of all charges and that you won't claim further, score that bit out before signing.
As before though could this not jeopardise my payout?0 -

Hi ya
You must be so worried at least you are one of the lucky ones to have had an offer. I had payout last week into my account so was lucky to.
Don t know if this will help but on my offer letter it only states that i accept blah d blah amount in full and final settlement, nothing mentioned about me signing to say i wont make any further claims in the future.
Good luck

Hi there
Thanks for your reply. The form that HSBC sent me was to accept their offer and to accept that I would not be taking the situation further. Therefore, I'm still not sure what to do.
Kind regards0 -

Hi Lou,
You're right what a difference a few days can make! I was wondering where everyone had gone!
Yeah my first 14 days is up on 3rd so fingers crossed, any day now!!! My second claim should be paid around the 10th.
I can't believe this was all done without warning. Poor Tillybella too, she was just a couple of days away from the 8 weeks on her second claim....
Let's hope we can keep everyone's chins up....though I've a feeling the SCS has increased by many, many more!!!
WELCOME EVERYONE!!!! COME AND SELF - COMBUST WITH THE REST OF US!!!!
Take care Lou, keep in touch!0 -

My partner went to court today for £900 from HSBC and won, they didnt turn up or post a defence. I dont think the OFT thing has anything to do with the courts. If they dont turn up it annoys the judge. Hope is out there for everyone, no matter what number claim you are up to.0

Hi,
this is the 14th day & no acknowledgement from the bank. I have just asked for judgement by default & it has been accepted by the site (mcol). I just hope this is still ok. I will keep you informed!
I dont think i can sleep tonight now, as the case will be logged at 10am tomorrow morning.
Does anyone know anything?0 -
The bank could still acknowledge today and MCOL will allow them but fingers crossed for you!0
