Well done Jollygiantswife on your second successful claim!! I am 7 weeks into a second claim and phoned yesterday and was told (after 30 mins of that awful music!) that my claim would be passed to a supervisor and a letter sent out within the week!:j

I'm not leaving it at that though, I've sent an email and I will be ringing again next monday to make sure it is in the post!

I agree with you totally about waiting the 8 weeks rather than going down the court route. I understand people are getting interest back if they do that but it is taking up to 6 months  I couldn't stand the wait and I don't think the extra money would make up for the stress and time it took to do.

Keep going all you out there waiting.....don't bank on getting your money before the 14 days after your acceptance though, you'll only end up disappointed. If it comes before the 14 days though it will be a bonus :j

    Could somebody please help me?

I incurred charges on my account while my claim was going through. Has anyone claimed on the same HSBC account more than once, and been successful?

    Hi ya

Same as me then, i ve just received payout but am expecting charges due to going overdrawn by £20 for a few days (a direct debit came out which wasn t suppose to) so i might be claiming them back. I think you ll find that they will payout, but will then close your account as its the second claim. If you have an overdraft you will more than likely have to pay that off, so if the charges that you are claiming second time don t amount to the same as your overdraft you will be out of pocket. You need to weigh it up really.

Still nothing from them - waiting for statements or even a response to my letter!

  • I've looked around the posts but was wondering what the general experience of people with HSBC is. I need to decide if I should threaten court action or send my case to the FOS. Any comments appreciated.

I've just sent my second letter (requesting my charges back) to HSBC - does anyone know how long I can expect to wait before I get a reply or an offer?
  • Hi all :hello:
Is there a contact number for HSBC?
I have started the ball rolling for 2 of my wife's accounts. They signed for the statement request letters on 22nd June, but the cheques have not left my account and we have heard nothing so far.
Do they normally take so long? I did this for the Natwest & the statements arrived within 2 weeks.

    Thanks in advance.
